People seem to forget or don't care, When minimum wage goes up so does everything else.
Yes it's no wonder why manufacturing has gone out of the United States. And a nasty Mac. hamburger will go up two dollars. Why would you want to go fast food crap in a sack when you can go into a real restaurant for the same price?

All the supposed conservatives on here!
The truth is we are paying more for commodities and wages are practically frozen. Its harder for everyone and it would be nice if these huge global corporations who make obscene profits from selling silicon poison as meat would share a little more with their employees instead of them all needing food cards. Which if you pay taxes you're paying for that anyway. They could do it without raising prices too much. A lot of their employees are mentally handicapped and bad choices have nothing to do with why they work there.

are you saying our standards for low wage employees at corporate monopolies need to be lowered to China's? Do you really think these global corporations have that slim of a profit margin compared to any "real restaurant"? How much more are the employees at the "real restaurant making than the corporate employees??? What's the answer then? The dollar is inflated and the things that cost more are things that everybody needs, even poor people. Fuel and food. Should we give them gift cards for flyn jay so they can afford to drive to work? Because most mom and pop places don't pay s**t either.

Forgot to mention all the mom and pop places hire millions less. Yes unfortunately people feel like they have to work there. But let's face it its millions of people. Are there really millions of better paying jobs waiting for all of them out there? Maybe the answer is to put a bunch of new taxes on fast food like gasoline/tobacco/alcohol, and use that money to give food cards to minimum wage employees. The banks could make money off of every transaction and leave them just enough to buy some mcnuggets .

OH Boo-Hoo,

She has a baby and a boyfriend.

How's this for an idea? Make better choices.

Money management. I lived off of nothing for a long while, but I dang sure wasn't going to support a worthless man who won't work.

End of story.

I appreciate ur comment, not everyone, not anyone dat works at fast food are dumb. Some times ppl make mistakes. It doesn't mean we are not capable of doing our job.I am a manager at a fast food place, and all my employees are bright, brilliant, intelligent individuals.with bright futures ahead of them. Nothing is wrong working for. Fast food. Like any job you can go as far as you want with the company

Of course you know these people you see on the news protesting are being brought in by busses and paid for by the unions and are NOT fast food workers? You do know that, Right? How many fast food employees do you think there are in one place.

Do these people not realize that if a Big Mac cost $7.00 that most people can't afford it and McDonald's will go under? What idiots!

right, huge corporations can't afford to share any of their billions of dollars in profit. Get real. They already play by a whole new set of unfair rules as far as smaller restaurants go. As a share holder in McDonald's and Pepsi(they own taco bell) I can tell you that they could give every employee a raise and not raise their prices much at all.

This reminds me of the good old days, with good old slave labor wages. Why should I care about some poor slob who can't earn enough to feed himself or his family? Why should I have to pay a few more cents to feed my fat face with artery-blocking garbage? Who cares about a living wage for some other schmuck when I can gorge myself into an early death at bargain rates? Isn't that the what a "real" American stands for?
GREED IS GOOD!(At least in the short run.)
Mr. Wolf, I would like to ask you a direct question, and if possible I would like a direct answer. How much do you believe these fast food workers should make(a dollar amount), that you would find reasonable.

But, in fact, Big-Mac-set(? Quater pounder set??) cost $7 or $8 already.
And, where is the profit from such high-price-menu?

Even, companies make money, all those money goes to Wall Street.
(And, I think that you said that you hated Wall Street.)
(You accused Obama that Obama was a supporter of Wall Street.)

That's wrong!

Americna-workers deserve much higher wages.

First of all, on the contrary.
if you drop the price of a menu from $5 to $1,
you cannot eat frive "$1 sets".

You are destroying companies and workers.
