Lemon Juice Wash

Step 1
Cleanse your skin with mild soap and water. Apply a small amount of soap to a washcloth and gently scrub your skin to remove any oil or dirt buildup, rinse with warm water and dry with a clean towel. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, dermatologists suggest washing your face once or twice daily with warm water and a mild cleanser.

Step 2
Cut a fresh lemon in half and squeeze the juice into a bowl. After use, you can cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and save for another treatment.
Step 3
Dip a cotton ball into the lemon juice and squeeze out the excess liquid. Apply the lemon juice directly to the affected area of skin. Repeat dipping the cotton ball in lemon juice and applying it to your skin until you cover all affected areas.
Step 4
Wait 10 minutes. Allow the lemon juice to dry on your skin. However, if the lemon juice is causing severe stinging or discomfort, then remove it immediately by rinsing it off with cool water.
Step 5
Rinse the skin area with cool water to remove the lemon juice residue, and then dry with a towel.
Step 6
Repeat the lemon juice wash twice daily to help reduce or eliminate acne.

Lemon Juice and Rose Water
Step 1
Cleanse your skin with a mild soap and water while gently scrubbing with a washcloth. Rinse and dry your skin with a clean towel.
Step 2
Combine equal parts of lemon juice and rose water in a bowl. Rose water has natural antibacterial properties, is a skin toner and helps to reduce the acidic nature of lemon juice.
Step 3
Dip a cotton ball into the mixture and squeeze to remove any excess liquid. Apply the product directly to your affected skin areas.
Step 4
Let the product stay on your skin for 15 to 30 minutes and rinse with cool water. Dry your skin with a towel.
Step 5
Repeat the lemon juice and rose water treatment twice daily, or as needed.

There are many other benefits of lemon juice

Applying lemon juice to the skin helps in lightening the blemishes and any scars or dark spots. But, do not apply lemon juice alone.

Mix it with honey or any face mask and then apply.
Lemon is good for bleaching the facial hair. Mix honey and lemon juice and apply it over the face and you would find in a month, the facial hair is no more.

It actually does not go away but simply gets bleached and is not any more visible to the naked eye unless looked from very close.

Mix it in face masks. It helps bring a glow on your face by cleaning your skin right down to the pores.
Pour lemon juice into the bath water to experience a refreshing bath.

1. Before applying the lemon juice, it is very important to wash your face with some warm water and anti-bacterial soap. You can also steam clean your face by placing it over hot water and use a towel over your head to capture and direct the steam towards your face, preventing it from escaping. This process will help in opening up the pores a bit.

2. Squeeze the lemons and collect about 1 to 2 tsp. of juice in the bowl. Grab some cotton and soak up some of the lemon juice. Apply gently to your face and cover affected areas where the acne and pimples are. Use it on all areas where there might be skin problems. If the application of lemon juice burns, use water (preferably mineral water) to dilute it, helping in reducing the burning sensation.

3. Leave the juice on your face so it can work itís magic fighting the infection and removing the dirt plus oil clogged up on the surface. You can leave it for overnight, and rinse your face the next morning. If it is too strong you can wash it off with cold water after 30 mins. For some, it is preferable to leave it overnight to see better results.

4. You can repeat the process the next day or take an interval break for a day or two, and continue applying until you reach your desirable results with this cheap and easy home remedy.

lemon juice is a natural way to reduce scars caused by acne. The citric acid of lemon juice also acts as an antiseptic. Since bacteria have a difficult time adjusting to acidic environments, the lemon juice can help reduce the number of bacteria that are living inside or on top of your skin.

As a 15yr. old girl (this was 16yrs. ago) I started Accutane from . After the initial 30 days of my acne getting worse I started to notice that day by day the acne lessened and the pores on my face became smaller and I didn't have to constantly blot the oil off my face. I had some dryness but it was a small sacrifice to look in the mirror and not see these big ugly zits causing me to feel ugly and self conscious. I also started to look people in the eyes and not constantly worry that they were staring at the state of my skin, or to go outside in the bright light and have people thinking negative things about me. After 3 mos. my skin was beautiful, without a single blemish, and the pores shrunk back to normal. Although I had the dryness that everyone experiences, it was SO WORTH IT. People talk about depression as a side effect, but honestly I was so deliriously happy with the results that I can say I was never depressed for even one day. After 1 yr. of being off the drug I started to get a few pimples and went back to the dermatologist. She started me on a second course immediately. That was 17yrs. ago. My skin has been perfect and flawless ever since. I never get a breakout. I shudder to think how my life would have been if it wasn't for this wonder drug. I would recommend it in a heartbeat. It changed my life.
