I thought food stamps solved this problem. Now we not only want to feed them, we want to feed them healthy! Where will the madness end?!

The story is not talking about welfare kids, it is talking about boys and girls kids. I am not sure where you are from but not all kids that go to boys and girls club are on welfare and receive food stamps. This is something that is very positive, why down giving fruit to kids? Come on 1950 eara get a life.

Boys and girls club is another name for baby sitting black kids to try and keep them out of the criminal court system...feed'em, cloth'em and play with'em and hope it works....no wonder blacks can't seem to get a leg up in this society....

No you are incorrect. I work full time and my children have gone to the boys and girls clubs. My oldest daughter went who is now 25 as well as my three other daughters. I do not receive food stamps or assistance. I have found it to be a safe alternative for after school and during the summer program. Why is it that when ever there are programs out there to help families, it has to be about race? All people from all walks of life have used the boys and girls club. I am happy that my children have had the opportunity to be with others from all races at the boys and girls club. I hope by doing this, they will not be raised to be racist bigots like alot of people in our society.

.

I am sorry but you are very incorrect. I have sent my children to the boys and girls club for many years. One reason is that they can experience being around others different than themselves. This teaches them the we are all different but we are all human beings. Thankfully, my children have been taught to not look down at other people just because of their color. Only then, can we wipe out back woods racist thinking about our youth who happen to be black or non-white.

Wow , baby sitting black kids? Well I think you need to walk into the door of the boys and girls club and you will see that the majority of the kids there are not african americans as you think they are. It is sad that you as a human being would think that about blacks, sad, sad person here.. I think you need to look at the big picture, I see a rainbow of color when I go to get my daughter. Furthermore I am not sure why I am even entertaining this statement with mine, not worth it at all, just plain ignorance.

My child goes there. We do not collect food stamps. I swear, some people only want to spread hate.

My child goes there, and she is not black. I am white, work full time, am in graduate school part time. She goes there because I cannot afford daycare, yet I make too much to qualify for any assistance. Also, you really sound racist.

I'm impressed with the sensible people who manage to put up with the chronic, clueless haters. Your children are blessed with patient parents.

How anyone can find negatives in this story is beyond perplexing.
