She would have won if she had used hickory. Mesquite is so yesterday and all the masters of BBQ use hickory nowadays. I'm sorry she lost but the judge summed her cooking up perfectly when he called it "rank."

Which just goes to show whether pro or amatur, you have to taste your ingredients as you go along!

If you watched the show you would have heard they liked the flavor of the short rib, it was the pineapple they called "rank".

I believe it is closed. It is/was on Mesa in the same center as AJ's diner across the street from El Taco Tote.

Don't be so damn hard on her. Had you watched the show, you'd know that broad has a sweet little dumper on her. Even if her cooking tastes like crap, she's a pleasure to watch in the kitchen.
