What if we said no-French people allowed to Pakistani restaurants in France? Had that happened it would've been on the front page of all major newspapers.
Well the ones that wear burkhas aren't allowed anywhere now, including restaurants.
YAY!

Key clientele for a Pakistani restaurant in France would be the French. Key clientele for the non halal French food in Pakistan would be non-muslims. Perhaps they did not want a demand that halal food is served just in case its clientele base changes.
Like I said, what a dumb place to open a French restaurant.

They were allowed to open the restaurant. They just shouldn't have put up that sign.

It's fine that they want to serve beverages that isn't permissible in Islam, but they shouldn't say that Pakistanis aren't allowed.
Will the sharia courts agree with your view? Restaurant would have problem if drinks are served to those they are disallowed by law. Were they not doing a favour to Pakistani legislation? I guess they also tried to solve a security risk issue, too!

Why should you feel insulted at being kept out of a non-halal establishment?

Maybe a very large sign like "Non-halal food and alcohol are served here" in order to stop some going in inadvertedly.

However, I believe, then the authorities would be requested to close the restaurant on the basis that they were flaunting Pakistan's Islamic culture. There is no end to (feeling) sensitivities where the freedom of individuals , even born in muslims households, is compromised by the faith being given constitutional and legal position. Why not ask your relatives living over there if they agree with you?

There are many hotels in Pakistan that serve alcohol. Foreigners drink a lot and always have been drinking there. This person should've just put up a sign that said he's selling alcohol instead of banning the locals.

Well tit for tat. Pakistan isn't exactly very friendly to anyone who is not Pakistani and certainly anyone who is not Muslim. So now you have a taste of your own medicine. That's your problem.
