When schools have to pay to feed kids, it takes away money that could be better used in actually EDUCATING the kids.

Parents should be providing their children with their own lunches from home. Families living in poverty have food stamps to help them buy that loaf of bread to make sandwiches.

Children are entitled to free education provided by taxes collected from people whether or not they have children. It is good to provide kids with the education that will provide them with the opportunity to make their way in the world.

Feeding them, on the other hand, is the responsibility of the parents.

After seeing some of the firstfatasz inspired school lunch examples I would think every parent would pack a lunch based on lunch they serve their children on non-school days. Of course the socialist ledd school system will demand inspection of any lunch bought and confiscate them and require the kids to eat the soylent green pap that they pass on as 'food' the school provides.

Imagine the government trying to help make kids healthier and prolong their lives! Then people might live longer and become a financial burden to us all! Has the government really thought this through?

Before kids had computers and game systems, they actually went outside and played. Now they sit around and get fat eating garbage. The Government might accomplish -getting them thinner but not healthier. They put so many drugs and chemicals in the foods, its no wonder they want to committ suicide or go on a shooting spree. This is the Governments fault. Like giving them diet soda-ever look up how good aspertame is for you?
