Lincolnton doesnt have bars downtown though. There is a difference. Its very sad that "Zippers" has to put a sign up about not wearing colors that in it self proves its not a good idea to have a "biker bar" if there is a potenial for some sort of gang fight.

Whats the other bar? That um Lincoln House or whatever? Yeah, hmm, in a horrible part of town where a bowling alley couldnt even stay open which had a bar attached at one time. Anywhere else? Tradewinds, I think was known for having a bar...and that place is closed too.

Lincolnton likes to think of it self as a small town that wants to stay small. If you look back over possible town delevopments someone of "importance" will almost always claim they want to keep lincolnton "small and lovable" and then claim that they want lincolnton to grow but their ways of wanting lincolnton to grow is to keep big business and larger delevopment out of Lincolnton.

The bar was denied according to the paper because of the message it sends to young kids. Remember, the downtown area is just a stones throw from the highschool and an elementry school. They dont wanna take the chance. There has been a "fear" that kids would skip school and spend it in the downtown area. Not to mention the whole thing about how long something is open.

Lincolnton pretty much lives in this bubble where they believe and trust in the lifestyle of the 40s or 50s. Its probably because a lot of them are so old that even the most oldest of our generations tech is considered new and crazy to them. The idea of this downtown area of people leaving their doors unlocked, living in peace, wanting to fight the evils of what they dont believe in even when it can benefit their health, job employment and life they rather not be bothered.

Most of the better resturants in Lincolnton sell alcohol, even if "bar" isn't in the name.
It will be fine.
