House Cuts Food-Stamp Funds From Farm Bill

Jul 12, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Wall Street Journal

A sharply divided House approved a bill Thursday that would set farm policy for the next five years, using a strategy that pleased conservative Republicans, angered Democrats and left the future of farm programs and food stamps in doubt.

Good. Finally the house is doing it's job to cut waste and free rides. Welfare was never intended as a Career Choice.

For a great many people, if they have no legitimate way to feed their children, they will do whatever is left. When robbery is the only way they can support their children, they will. When society is so cruel that your children must starve in the land of plenty, then you will do what you can to destroy that society, and it deserves to be destroyed. There are already about half of the people that cannot participate in any of the advantages of American society. All it takes is a spark for them to rise up and overthrow the yoke of oppression that has been placed on their backs.

If you can't afford to feed your kids, maybe you shouldn't have had them in the first place.

Taxpayers should not foot the bill for your stupidity or the poor choices you made in your own life.

Food stamps as farm aid should never have been in the same bill to start with.

The only reason they put them together in the past was to get the Dems to support the farm aid and the GOP to support the food stamps.

Hopefully with them separate, neither will pass and people will take care of themselves instead of looking to the government for another handout.

Btw, I grew up dirt poor on a farm, and we NEVER took welfare in either form. It was tough to make a living on farming in those days, but like most farmers we had too much self-respect to take handouts.

Food stamps to the illegal invaders and to parasitic Americans who refuse to work and pay taxes became the way for the corrupt Obama regime to stay in power despite its failures. Undoubtedly, Obama needs only the ‘individual’ portion of his healthcare to buy the votes that he need for winning the 2014 elections. Thanks the Lord for the great House Republicans who stand up to Obama’s effort to use 80 billion dollars to buy votes of the illegal foreign invaders from Mexico and other South American countries that live on the Obama’s food stamp for lifetime in return for voting Obama. GOP lost the elections of 2008 and 2012 due to the Obama regime conspiracy to use our tax money to buy votes of foreigners across the border that are getting the money through the corrupt farm bill. It is now or never for the Republicans to save America from the corrupt crooks of Obama and his liberal media that use our tax money of 97 millions working in the private sector to give food stamps and benefits to more than 101 million American parasites that refuse to work or to pay taxes.

Spoken like a true secular-humanistic socialist. That's why churches enjoy tax-exempt status here in America. Charity out of working taxpayers pockets should be something that's purely voluntary.

Hence the weapons purchases. Politicians cause all of this. Perpetuating the agenda of people living like it is party time and some one else pays for it. Now the ones who pay for it are struggling more and more and/or getting old and we keep politics the same way. You will feel better when the heavy duty labor camps open. I figure they will hold a few million and we will need the slave labor to continue to pay for the rest of us. It seems when that happens the ghetto mantra giving back to the community will be a real positive outcome for those involved. Nature is not fooled when resources are in decline. Violence will only speed the totalitarian state along and frankly there are more and more people who may want it if only for safety and security which runs parallel with paying people for doing not much of anything in human history.

How about the rich stop complaining about people being on welfare and create good paying jobs so people can get off welfare...Not that hard to see. But is we do away with welfare and food stamps the 40-50 million people on it will turn to violence and crime..It will cost us twice as much as welfare and food stamps did. What then.

poor people are ruining this country, they contribute nothing ( taxes paid) but consume way too much ( taxes paid by others)time to give them 90 days notice that the free sh't is stopping...they can find a job in 90 days, or move to a more welfare friendly country, or die, it's up to them....either way, it's win-win for taxpayers.

inbred...Create jobs so they have work...When all you rich out sourced there jobs what choice did they have..WHAT JOB CAN THEY FIND....There is 40-50 million people nation wide on it......Is there enough jobs for them all. If there was 10-20-30 million jobs unfilled I would say yea cut welfare and food stamps off. But since there isn't even enough jobs for 5% of people who don't have a job I say no...How would you feel being robbed and mugged and attacked everyday for pocket change for food..That is what will happen.

But not a winning electoral strategy for the GOPee-bag party. They've already got ongoing wars against; women, gays, immigrants, and the middle class – so making more war on the poor only puts them further out of touch with most voters – not to mention just out of touch with humanity in general.
It’s what we've all come to expect from the party of NO by now – so they should come to expect more election results like last year’s.
Well you used the tired phrases for so long now that it is laughable. As the boomers retire and the costs of social security and medicare rises three to four time more then today in the next few decades, keep that in mind. Don't you say no if you are a younger taxpayer.

Lofty talk while tap-tap-tapping away on your iPad, poaching the free wi-fi and hunkering down behind your 5th double Grande strawberry-caramel-mochachino of the day. don, we've discussed this before....there is no obligation for the rich, or anybody, to start a biz just to employ people. it's too hard these days, the govt has too much red tape, rules, regs, EPA, EEOC, OSHA, IRS, just too difficult. In my area, it takes months to get a silly building permit, mush less operate a biz within the regulations that the govt puts out. If I had money, I wouldnt start a biz just to hire people, i'd sit on it and protect it from the govt.

Ok then pay taxes for welfare and food stamps...Wouldn't it be better to create jobs then have people sitting around....Fine sounds like you don't want to create jobs so pay taxes for welfare....ONE OR THE OTHER.....One must happen. Like I said if we just did away with welfare and food stamps tens of millions of people would be homeless and starving...They would turn to crime and it would cost us double to deal with them and cause chaos....HOWS THAT SOUND?
