He does have good sandwiches with his media noche being my favorite.

Very meaty and delicious.

My friend Jose is trying to start a sandwich place with his specialty being the "calle ocho" sandwich.

It is a sandwich with two OLD slices of stale bread and nothing of substance in between.

Those where the best Cuban sandwiches in South Florida no doubt about it. If Galindo would have opened one in NYC he would have made a killing.

I only had a Cuban sandwich once in my life. It was in Miami at a place called "Latin Cafe." It was good. If I get a chance to go to Miami, I'll go there again.

Yes esp in NYC which has a real bus service for the old and a fraction of the crime Cuban run Miami-dade has.

Business is welcomed in NY . Here it is best to see this place collapse.

I guess Galindo decided he rather stay in Miami where most white Hispanics live, most likely he didn't want to deal with goons.

Galindo is opening again where Esquina de Tejas existed at 12 ave. s.w. 1st street, it's way off from my vicinity but if the quality is the same as the old I'll travel to it. Best god damn sandwiches.

Yes you are all wise. I sadly must admit from what I see we do lack courage and it makes me weep.

Since when do indians cook with Olive oil. Cooking with olive oil is a European tradition that my greats passed along to us. Now if you're going to fry fries or any other vegetable then you use vegetable, corn which you indians are used to or any other thicker oil. Butter or lard is well known in Europe as well in certain parts of the new world. Do I know any Cuban that eats vegetables? I know plenty including myself.
