"Mayor Mickey Thompson and Commission Chairman Tom Worthan both welcomed Atlantic Buffet to the community with open arms. Each official praised and thanked Atlantic Buffet for their commitment to the community and the generous discounts offered for government employees."

Glad to see that government employees get a "generous discount". Personally, I, in the private sector, stopped going out for lunch in 2007 cause I could no longer afford 8-12 bucks a day partly due to increases in property taxes, SPLOST, gas, insurance and similar. Wonder if the Mayor and Commissioner will show up when this place closes?

I was in Golden Corral one day and was watching the other patrons. I don't think there was a person in there that wasn't a good 40 pounds over weight. Makes you really rethink your eatting habits.

Last week I ate with a group in Cartersville - some place under the bridge. The menu was creative, the decor was a bit dark but nice nonetheless and the actual food was fantastic. We're not talking buffalo wing appetizers here. It was a nice, non chain restaurant with an actual CHEF in back. The question we all asked was "why can't Douglasville have a place like this?" Someplace where the special of the day is NOT tilapia (eww) or where all the appetizers are fried. A restaurant where you push back from the table and not think you could have done better at home.

Another buffet? Shoot me, please.

Sounds like most buffets. I ate lunch there with my girl and $7 each for sushi is awesome. Only complaint is a no military discount.

After all the advertising My wife and I were excited to try this new restaurant.....Four bites and ten minutes later my wife and I are $22.45 lighter in the billfold and headed home to get something we could eat. I was so disappointed that I advised the waiter that I could not eat the food. The food was not hot. The asparagus was raw. The honey mustard for the toss salad tasted like horesradish. Maybe it was just hot mustard but why would it be with all the salad dressings unlabled. He apologized and brought me the check which I paid nonetheless.. We love oriental food but his was the worst buffet I can remember. Keep in mind this is just my opinion and someone else may have a great experience but I'll stick with Golden Corral and Green Tomato. Good Eating

Lots of tasty things to eat there - the fried salmon is my favorite. I do wish they would label the sushi.

For all of you that like a buffet, remember that all those losers are grabbing those serving spoons, and I can damn well bet that over half of them had just gone to the bathroom and not washed their hands.

Think about that after you handle all those serving spoons then sit down and you pick up your bread with your hands and put it in your mouth......

Good point - use a napkin to hold the serving spoons.

Better yet, put on latex gloves, get your food then trash the gloves. Or my best suggestion, stay away from buffets.
