Chick-fil-A tosses part of its old menu

Apr 16, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: WBIR-TV Knoxville

The fast-food chain's image took a social-media pounding last year after its president said that Chick-fil-A supported the biblical definition of the family - interpreted by many gays and gay marriage supporters as a slap in the face.

Kinda like the "N" word. Blacks use it in reference to each other, but we can't. I like to think of it as the group involved taking ownership of the word. Same with "queer".
Yes, there is that obvious double standard. I don't use the N word because *I* don't like it regardless who says it.

I think some of the more absurd gays get all dramatic about a word because in some (surely not all) that's all the illusion of any power that they can imagine.

You sound intelligent to know this, but I will state the obvious anyway....words are neutral. The words don't bother me. It is how one uses the word that bothers me.

That should say, "...sound intelligent enough". Sorry for the error, I have the TV news on, and am listening, and occasionally watching, the events surrounding the Boston bombers.

True, and often things get convoluted by how we attach meaning to words. A wise man said "There's no difference between f*ck and spaghetti other than the importance we attach to them." I've been called a bigot many times in this forum by the usual suspects/morons. But they are morons (not to mention hypocrites) so it doesn't bother. Indeed, kit amuses me.

The double standard bothers me. Blacks can use the N word with impunity but whites sign their death warrant if they use the same word. Gays can use whatever words they want re gays, but breeders are prohibited... or so they'd like to claim. By that reasoning, can I declare that the aforementioned suspects/morons may not use words like intelligent, normal, rational, or sane?

Doubtful. I don't think anybody would care, which is how I feel about morons and hypocrites telling me which words they are allowed to use but I am not. Such morons/hypocrites are to be ridiculed.

So I do.

Have a good one.
