Chick-fil-A tosses part of its old menu

Apr 16, 2013 Full story: WBIR-TV Knoxville 44

The fast-food chain's image took a social-media pounding last year after its president said that Chick-fil-A supported the biblical definition of the family - interpreted by many gays and gay marriage supporters as a slap in the face.

Good for you! And thanks for letting us know. I would have been up all night wondering and worrying, if you hadn't spoken up and ended the suspense.

Make sure to always order something deep fat fried and get some buttered starches on the side. Have a real big, sugary soft drink with your meal. Drinks are the most profitable item on the menu for restaurants ... it costs more to wash the glass than it does for the soda and ice inside it ... so insist on paying for your refills, too. That will increase these companies' profits significantly.

Me two, and now that JC Penny fired their queer loving CEO I'll consider shopping there as soon as they get rid of Ellen Degenerate.

This is some good stuff.

"Following last year's social-media firestorm, he says, private meetings with some LGBT leaders, helped him to learn "that many in the LGBT community have been subject to incredible criticisms, meanness and bullying." And, to his horror, some of that was taking place in the name of Chick-fil-A. His dismay over such treatment, he says, helped to form a "point of common ground," with his own beliefs. "When kids - and even adults - have belittling words towards each other, that is inappropriate," he says."

Vile, blasphemous lies. If you choose to be ignorant and hateful, that is your problem. But the TRUTH is--being gay is not wrong at all, is not a choice at all, and God IS for gay people, and all people, being happy. God blesses the marriages of gay people as much as any other marriage. Quit blaming your bigotry on God, it's a horrible, sinful thing for you to do.

There's nothing decent about bigotry. They support discrimination and bigotry, not family values or decency.

do you think that places which doesn't support gays are the only ones that gets boyocotted? Well wake up and smell the roses. What about Home Depot that does support gays. How many people don't go there? Me for one and I imagine many more that believe that marrage is suppose to be between one man and one woman. I have gay friends but that doesn't mean that I approve of their life style.

Some "friend." Being gay is NOT a "lifestyle," and to boycott a business in the hope of forcing them to support discrimination against your "friends" shows what a load of bunk your claim of "friendship" is.

If you really are a friend, you'd treat them a whole lot better, and not support hate and discrimination against your "friends."

Fail.
And by the way, jackass, I'm not gay. Or queer, or whatever other Ku Klux Klan slur you want to use.
It's not only the KLan that uses unapproved gay slurs. Many gays use them as well. But of since they are gay, they get a pass. A double standard to be sure. And your claiming queer to be a Klan slur when it isn't compromises the credibility or veracity of anything you have to say.

Sure, Carlos is an idiot. But aren't there far more things to illustrate this than his use of the term queer that is, in the larger scheme of things, less important than how gays are perceived or treated in the real world?

This is pretty much a bullsh!t story. The first claim, "The fast-food chain's image took a social-media pounding last year after its president said that Chick-fil-A supported the biblical definition of the family - interpreted by many gays and gay marriage supporters as a slap in the face."

suggests that the "pounding was completely ineffective in light of the company's KFC as the largest chicken selling fast food chain and posting profits twice the national average for the industry.

Perhaps the only "pounding" was the chests of the hysterics who got all upset because somebody dared to believe differently than said hysterics believed. Apparently the general public was not so hysterical as evidenced by the dramatic (pardon the expression) increase in sales.

At the same time, in an apparent nod to the hysterics and radical militants/haters in the gay community, Dan Cathy, president of the company, has acknowledged that he would be more "wise" about what he said.

Looks like the bullying of the militants, haters and hysterics produced some results.

The bottom line is, they have the world's best fresh sqoze lemonade, the best chicken sandwich and a number of other wonderful items. They actually care about their customers. Canola oil is used for a lot of their fried foods.
I used to never go till they were attacked by the gay agenda people and now we go every month and get take home.

Oooo, trying to sound butch again. So first off, I'm straight. Secondly, many of the more militant gay boys in here really don't like me because I don't follow the party line and am not impressed with their bullshit just like I'm not impressed with yours.(See how much in common you have with them?) Thirdly, you would never, ever get close enough to squeeze anything of mine. I assure you, you would be severely injured, and I wouldn't even leave a mark.

This is your cue to say something else that's stupid just like the gay boys (see how much you're like them?) and pretty much confirms your adolescence and stupidity... as if there were any doubt. You show up periodically just to be humiliated.

Glad I could help with that.

Kinda like the "N" word. Blacks use it in reference to each other, but we can't. I like to think of it as the group involved taking ownership of the word. Same with "queer".

Yes, there is that obvious double standard. I don't use the N word because *I* don't like it regardless who says it.

I think some of the more absurd gays get all dramatic about a word because in some (surely not all) that's all the illusion of any power that they can imagine.
