Chick-fil-A tosses part of its old menu

Apr 16, 2013 Full story: WBIR-TV Knoxville 44

The fast-food chain's image took a social-media pounding last year after its president said that Chick-fil-A supported the biblical definition of the family - interpreted by many gays and gay marriage supporters as a slap in the face.

The "biblical definition" of marriage is polygamy where women are the property of their husbands.

The most common form of marriage in the U.S., i.e. a marriage of one man and one woman, where both have equal legal standing, is a late 20th century invention, compeletly separate from any religious rules of any kind of any particular faith.

The new Chick-fil-a here is doing a land office business. Homofascists attacks against them seem to have made their business sky rocket nationally, too.

The bottom line is, they have the world's best fresh sqoze lemonade, the best chicken sandwich and a number of other wonderful items. They actually care about their customers. Canola oil is used for a lot of their fried foods.

Cracker Barrel didn't fool me, and Chick-Fil-A doesn't fool me. I will not eat at either one, and that is a life-time commitment. There is no way they will earn my respect enough to overcome the damage they have done. End of story.

You don't get out much, do you?

Civil marriage of one man and one woman began almost from the start in New England. It was forced on Native Americans, Africans, and Asians, who had a long history of polygyny. In the 19th Century, the Supreme Court ruled that the federal government had a right to force this definition on the Utah Territory, despite overwhelming support there for polygyny.

A major difference between polygyny and homosexual 'marriage' is that it had and has a real basis in how people live. No doubt you're aware that homosexual 'marriage' has been overwhelmingly rejected by homosexuals themselves in every country that allows it.

Thank you, Monster of Pekin, for the commercial. I agree that their food is great. But they are then using the money of those customers they "care" so much about to many of those customers...or, perhaps I should say, former customers. They may be doing booming business in Pekin, but elsewhere, other than the single day that anti-marriage equality bigots came out to support them, their business has dropped considerably. People who don't like bigotry, even if they are not in favor of gays getting married, are finding other places to eat. Wendy's has a far superior chicken sandwich that people have been gravitating to.

So heterocentrist fascists like you will slowly learn that you can't treat people badly in the marketplace and expect them to remain loyal.

I never claimed to be important or influential. Just one more of those people they trashed. In fact, I have never eaten at a Cracker Barrel or a Chick-Fil-A. I prefer a different kind of restaurant. The point is, they are attempting to lure people into eating there after demonizing a large segment of the population. And, although, I have no special importance or influence, what little I type here may just add to a growing dislike for their franchise. With that I am happy.

Do you think that he's the only person who boycotts Cracker Barrel or Chick-fil-A because of their stance on gay marriage issues?

You do realize that Ralph is not the only person in the country that boycotts businesses like this, right? One 'Ralph' may be inconsequential, but a million...

Prove it. Cite your sources. The following will NOT be allowed as sources, and will earn you an F for the year, making you repeat 5th grade social studies: whirledNUTSdaily, the sludge report, and anything by the "afa", the "frc", "focus on the 'family'", and other nutballs.

I never heard of either place but now that I know they support decency and family values, I'm going to eat there all the time!

Being from New York, I had never even heard of either place until I moved here.

ANd btw, I was in Scottsdale for the first time yesterday and by chance I stopped at a REAL Jewish Deli to eat, named "Goldman's Deli". It looked like it should've been in Brooklyn. LOL I was so surprised to find a REAL Jewish deli in Arizona.

GOOD FOOD !

During a trip to visit family in the Midwest, I saw a banner outside one of their local chain restaurants, reading, "NEW CALIFORNIA-STYLE SALAD BAR". Having experience with what that region thought "tamales" were, I stopped inside to see what the banner might actually mean.

They added another six feet of potato, macaroni and jello "salads".

Since Goldman's Deli has only one location; I suppose you are inviting the entire TOPIX chat crew (and troll brigade) to eat at Goldman's and party hardy at your house all night (until the cops come)

Not really. I was in Scottsdale for the first time yesterday, and found Goldman's Deli by accident. And it's about 70 miles north of Coolidge.(and it's 83 degrees here now.:))
