Unfortunately the Samoan prime minister has his own ideas. This guy just wants to shift the hub of the South Pacific from Fiji to Samoa. First of all he should get proper buses running in his country, not modified trucks as buses. Then he should think about talking big.

All elected leaders in the Pacific need to stand together and take stronger sanctions against Fiji's dictator.
The dictator needs to go.....exile to India.

Interesting view. You would really think our PM is that shallow. Perhaps he has a greater vision for this country of ours beyond the thinking abilities of Bainarama and obviously you,(Samoa is the fastest groiwng economy in the Pacific and its not stopping)You cant compare a knowledge of a highly qualified economist with that of a soldier. That means according to what I witness everyday Samoa will dominate the Pacific in 20 years time. Not because of NZ/Aus Aid but something bigger and being part of it gives me a fair idea of what we are working for.(Who else could possibly think that changing the international dateline and switching a roadside to drive on would come with benefits? A soldier????

You have already lost your status as the hub of the Pacific mate. Stop dreaming.'Fiji does not have a say in Pacific Affairs and what does that mean from an economic point of view' Bainamrama should stop think Fiji can can live on its own.

This is absolutely correct Kiususu, not only they lost being a hub in the Pacific, but they will soon lost the Indian culture completely from Fiji and the Pacific Islands as a whole. Bainimarama and his few fijian who blindly supported his wannabe leader will very soon experience the full force of the people of Fiji's anger. Unfortunately, his mate Kayam?? and lawyer Sharann, whatever their names are, already plan their escape.

Yes, it really shows that Bai was only follow the people who master-mind the destruction of Fiji principal and culture. The Council of Chief was gone!!!, They are trying to slowly dis mental Christianity, kick-out all the European business from Fiji,so they can take the full control of the economy. Bainimarama and his no-brain soliders can only say yes and follow the instruction given by those hungry money indo-fijian.

Hey White, are we here to debate about the English grammer, or are we here to debate the issue and reason??

If the reason given by writers in this forum are painful and hard to take, then you must realize that your time in Fiji is nearly over. Therefore, may I suggest that you begin to look for a way out, that will provide you with a homely family. At the moment, Fiji won't be for you. Unless you prepare to change.

White, why was your dad not able to modernize Fiji? Was that because of language barrier or was it because his education was the same as you are now, trying to manupilate and cheated people with using slimy and gunning words. you should be ashame of yourself mate.
