It is obvious that "Yoga" unfortunately has come to mean "Hatha yoga" where people end up mistreating their bodies with strange distortions without really knowing their bodies.

Hatha Yoga should be used only as a "warm up" by Buddhists and Buddha should always be at the Head. Fantastic claims of supernatural powers gained from holding one pose for hours/days ought to be disregarded.

People get way too attached to their yoga bodies and Buddhists disregard all notions of the body as self.

Patanjali obviously screwed up big time by not understanding Buddha's teachings and attempted his own take on the 4 Noble Truths in his texts -- downward dog does not lead to Nirvana as long as you have wrong view.
