Many eminent people have been afflicted with this ailment including Rita Hayworth, Ronald Reagan, Jack lord, Charlton Heston, Barry Goldwater, even Sir Winston Churchill. It is hardest on families, friends, and relatives, and has sometimes been termed "the living death." The jury remains out as to causality, among the initial symptoms are absent mindedness, ultimately the brain cells are decaying. There are a number of excellent sites on the web for tips, support, and local assistance schemes. Kudos to all those who care and tend the sufferers of Alzheimers.

I think writing in here is probably good for mental functioning too. It helps one's thoughts crystalize and a person can get feedback to see if they are going off track. I feel that since I have been writing, I have more confidence and my thoughts and opinions are clearer.
Haw Haw, I have been wanting to pay you a compliment. You wrote a post about 3 months ago that actually made me feel some emotions (in a good way). I am not into poetry or litterature, but sometimes you sure string some words together in a special way. I went back and tried to find that post, but could not find it. While your proclivity to loquaciousness does leave me behind sometimes, you always seem to do it in the spirit of helpfulness.

-Mahalo for the compliment Sir, life is short, and we are all mere travelers in this world, so if we cannot offer our kokua to each other what would be the purpose? Have a great day, e malama pono.

I have been working in the brain fitness space since 2001 and we have come along way. There has been significant scientific studies over the last 5 years that illustrate how we can maintain and develop our cognitive skills through our lifespan. Our company has started to launch pilots that provide more efficacy to our software. I truly believe the next 5 years will see a lot of positive developments in this area.
