There are many chronic pain conditions that warrant the long term use of opiates. Unfortunately the thugs of the dea would rather see these people suffer to maintain their bloated paychecks. Their policies have interfered with the doctor patient relationship with disastrous results for many. The comments by the chiropractor were amusing since most chiropractors are outright frauds that don't cure anything. Denying those in pain adequate medications is nothing short of sadistic and reeks of malpractice!

Chiropractic works great for hip pain. Please go to a Gonstead practitioner.

Oh please "gonstead" was a quack chiropractor who claimed to find chiropractic subluxations on static x-rays. There is absolutely NO research or evidence to support using "gonstead" for anything.

Of course any chiropractor is free to link us to legitimate "gonstead" studies. he he I ain't holding my breath.

As for me, I prefer not to be on narcotics. If alternative measures can treat the pain, I would definitely go for it. Furthermore, I agree with treating the root cause. One can be on continuous medication or therapy without knowing what is causing the pain. Treat the root cause and everything will follow. http://www.hiprecalllaw.com/updates/depuy-hip...

Don't face pain without drugs! We at Pharma pride ourselves on developing the best pills for profit in the world. Talk of side effects is overblown. In all the years selling our completely safe FDA and CDC approved products, the only side effect I've seen is billions of dollars profit. Sure we are in litigation perpetually, over "rare" and "mild" injury, but we are nice enough to settle out of court for a fraction of our profits so victims..I mean alleged victims don't have to endure a long trial. We are humanitarians after all.

Thank goodness for pain killing drugs.

You've got to be pretty damn ignorant if you think that medications have not played a significant role in improving the quality of life for billions of people.

Or maybe you're just a chiropractor.

Wisdom has no credibility. He has no professional degrees, zero clinical experience, and (get this) to top it off he has a fascination with baby diapers! Look at his past posts. He's creepy. He mentions diapers with almost each post. This has earned him the name 'wisdom Sandusky' after another pervert.
Wisdom said, "Can't you idiots see that 'empty your chiropractic diaper' is a brilliant methaphor I created? Idiots."
Yes, mr creep, we see that. We also see that if used once, then, ok, maybe it is a metaphor, but thousands of times? No, creep, it is no longer a methaphor. It reveals the thoughts of a pervert, isn't that right, wisdom Sandusky?

Chiropractors do not say meds are not helpful. But to prevent the disease in the first place is a lot better than having to take a pill. Perhaps they should promote being obese? Better stop twisting information your credibility is next to nothing.

There goes Wisdom making assumptions that the only people that oppose him are chiros. Maybe he should look at the poll exposing his credibility where over 200 people have voted and dismissed anything that comes out of his mouth.

We are talking pain here, tell me what makes more sense.
You have a stone in your shoe which is causing pain, what option is the best:

1:Take a pain med to resolve the pain.
2:Have surgery to accommodate the the shape of the stone in your foot.
3:Remove the stone.

Obviously its #3
Chiropractic addresses the problem by assessing the cause.

Clearly they are chiros. Most regular people can't be that stupid as to not recognize that we owe a great deal of gratitude to those brilliant scientists who have discovered life saving and quality of life improving DRUGS.

Yes, remove the stone, but only an idiot chiropractor would make such a stupid statement and imply he can cure serious disease by removing a stone.. Chiropractors have no idea about real health care.

Cancer, diabetes, HTN, a fib, glaucoma, and thousands of other diseases require medication to live a decent quality of life.

Only an ignorant chiropractor would claim he can cure these disorders but cracking backs.

Dumbass"quacks, get someone here who can play defense.

no implication to curing disease by removing a stone. The basis of chiropractic is that when the body is healthy it can combat infections, stress, etc better. Nothing bizarre about that logic Wisdom, so stop confabulating your nonsensical rhymes.

Another thing is that chiropractors do not discredit medications as they are necessary in instances, but whenever the dose can be decreased, is a benefit. Lets start using common sense. The whole rationale of chiropractic is to take a more natural approach at combating illness.

More so it is more than just "cracking backs" Why don't you just give up, the only person who gives you credit is your alter ego. This can't be too healthy with you obsession he posting your lies.

The body's being able to heal itself of infection and disease has NOTHING to do with chiropractic.

Just how stupid are you mr. Chiropractor?

And yet you claimed that the subluxation bull crap is history? Ha ha

Dumb ass chiropractor.

Chiropractic also places an emphasis on nutritional and exercise programs, wellness and lifestyle modifications for promoting physical and mental health. While chiropractors make no use of drugs or surgery, Doctors of chiropractic do refer patients for medical care when those interventions are indicated.

In fact, chiropractors, medical doctors, physical therapists and other health care professionals now work as partners in occupational health, sports medicine, and a wide variety of other rehabilitation practices.

Chiropractors make use of conventional diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and lab work, as well as specific procedures that involve manipulation of various parts of the body by hand.

While Chiropractors are best known for their ability to access the spine, spinal manipulation is only a small part of what chiropractors do as part of an overall plan to relieve pain and mitigate many kinds of ailments.

Other kinds of treatments chiropractors are capable of providing include:

Electric muscle stimulation;
Exercise therapy;
Heat/cold therapy;
Herbal therapy;
Lifestyle and nutrition counseling;
Manipulation under anesthesia;
Massage;
Physical rehabilitation;
Physiotherapy;
Stress management;
Traction; and
Ultrasound.

the fellow who denied he was a chiropractor, but actually is, said, "spinal manipulation is only a small part of what chiropractors do"

No kidding.

Like I've said before, chiropractors engage in a wide range of bizarre and unfounded treatments. I've listed them before. there are more than 200+ stupid chiropractic treatments.

The ancillary things like physiotherapy are not technically "chiropractic". the foundation of chiropractic remains the bizarre belief that chiropractors can locate the fictitious chiropractic subluxations, "correct:" them and return the patients to "health".

indeed, in the recent "chiropractic journal" more than half the chiropractors surveyed want to keep the foundation the same and do not want to move toward well accepted allopathic methods and treatments.

Simply, most chiropractors are beyond stupid.
