High Intensity Interval Training or HIIT is a great way to get fit and healthy. Not only is it a very effective way to lose weight and burn fat, it also helps improve your cardiovascular endurance and makes you strong and fit like a caveman. Programs like P90x focuses on strength training and cardio at the same time, so you get both without spending hours at the gym doing them separately. Also, little equipment is required which is considerably less than paying for a monthly gym membership. Overall, HIIT is just a more effective way to workout. The results you get will keep you motivated whereas most people don't even use their gym memberships after the first week. However, you should be relatively fit and in shape before you begin any HIIT program. If you aren't, lower the intensity level until you become fitter. Always consult your physician before starting any fitness or weight loss program. .
