Although it is good to read about senior runners, I think it is important that you know about all the other senior runners in town. My father, Tony Anaya, has been running for the last 33 years everyday. He runs at noon everyday no matter the wheater or time of year. He runs at least 2 miles or more 5 days a week. On one day a week he takes a long run about 10 miles. He used to run more but at age 65 it does not always happen. He has run the Boston Marathon, Phoenix Marathon, Duke City Marathon to many times to count, and other marathons that I can not even remember. He has done this with several friends who have quit on him, who are younger and its to hard for them. He has inspired and worked with many young runners from our fair city including my 42 year old sister who runs half marathons. I just thought you might like to hear a little about him since he is an inspiration to me and his grandchildren. I am just hoping I will walk a mile at his age.

I knew your sister T when I lived in Las Cruces and am happy to see she has joined your father in the marathons. Great to hear your father is still running. Go Team Anaya!
