Oh good grief, what will they think of to complain about next? I'm a Christian, and while I don't do yoga, which I probably should as I'm in my late fifties now and could use the excercise, Spirituality in the vein of peace is a good thing. Peace, not violence. And other than those among us who have some sort of problem, in which they require help, God gave us all a mind, and the gift, and responsibility, of independent decision.

Ok that is really just the last straw. First these so called Christians are picketing while our soldiers are being buried, there is a minister that wants to burn the Islam book now this. I thought being a Christian means you don't judge other people. The "people" are completely crazy. Talk about a cult!!!!

Pat Robertson claims that the chanting that goes along with yoga is "really spooky." Yet he does not find a ceremony where you are symbolically eating the flesh and drinking the blood of your savior as being really spooky?

Just another blatant example of the hijacking of Christianity by those who want to push their agenda of moral superiority. How sad that the messages of the Christian faith have been twisted by those in power and have lost the intent of the Creator.
As Ghandi said-" I love your Christ, it's your Christians that scare me."

nuff said.

ALL the organized religions ARE full of it...
Organized hypocritical Religions~No Way..
Look around people..The baptist minister preaching by day~molesting kids behind closed doors...and The all mighty Catholics..well EVERYONE knows those crooks...
I have had 2 ministers that were uncles and both put the best face forward for 'religion' but at home it was hell....
Personally I hear the word Baptist,Catholic,Lutheren and I run for the hills....will take my spirituality based faith any day over self serving, money grubbing, thieves in the guise of 'religion'...Talk about Wolves in sheeps clothing....

You are the epitome of ignorance, not only are you insulting the spiritual practice of millions, you are disrespectful of women (whom you point out in your rebuttal, are 90% of the people who do yoga). As I wrote you in a personal email, if Jesus were to return, I do believe you would be amongst the first to say "Kill HIM." Try contemplating the painting of the Sacred Heart, there is Jesus in his magnificent glory with streams of light coming from his heart chakra. Jesus was very much a practioner of Eastern spirituality and that was among his behaviors that rankled the priests. It is the same today, the priest are shaken,(you are one), whenever a direct connection with God is presented you people become very afraid. Yoga is a threat to you and your kind, no wonder you attack it. Your rant would be better spent in a truly good cause of pointing out real evil, rather than attacking the right of all mankind, to have what Jesus taught -a direct contact with God. I hope those in your congregations wise up-what you people preach is evil. I will pray for you and dedicate my meditations to you. Namaste. Might want to look that word up.

And this is why i dislike "the church" and most things "christian"...they always want to control you in some way and always tell u wat to do....they don't allow people to think and act for themselves the only reason they don't want you to do yoga is soley because it upsets their power base, that means that they will have less people to control and influence and less income, so they will find alllll kinds of excuses against other paths all the time using "God" as the reason.....

Avoid practicing religions that are not the practice of spirituality. Jesus would not approve.

I'm also one who does not go to church. I've seen just what some of you mention... as a teenager, heard about a neighbors "churchy" father comitting adultery, as a young adult heard from a friend that the minister she worked for was "chasing" her at work. He was also later found guilty of exposing himself to his five year old grandson. This man was in his sixties at the time...
So you betcha I stay home on Sunday.
Like to tell my church going daughter in law that my church is right here.
About two years ago, I found a handwritten list of quotes from the Bible on the windshield of my car. One of them really said it all, "That your faith should not be in the wisdom of man, but in the Power of God". The list is on my fridge now. What an excellent gift, given by a complete stranger.
