There were too many things going on H.I.M. frontman Ville Valo admits that 2005's Dark Light, his band's first proper U.S. release, was, well, too complex and confusing. via Mtv.com

Bands like HIM just make me sick. They have a little talent, but I'm not sure why people are standing up for them. They're mediocre at best and that is being very generous.

I'm not a big fan of HIM, and I think they're just okay is all. The fact that their fans consist of 95% preteen Emo girls is also a definite turn off.

Bam, he USED to bw cool. In MY opinion, he'
s been sucked WAY too far into the hollywood and has forgotten who his real friends are. He'll be in the holly spotlight and then he'll go crawling back to his other friends. I really think Ville is a hottie, but he'll beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Right?

I think skateboarding is the most entertaining sport around. It's the only "sport" I wouldn't mind attending.

Yup, I agree. And Skaters went from realy cool in the late 80's early 90's to yet ANOTHER prep trend. It's like Emo's and Preps are out to ruin EVERYTHING! Music, sports, clothes, My GOD the list goes on. Just like w/ HIM. In 1997, 2000, 2001, and 2003, they were a European underground-ish band. I listened to the the second the came out in 1997. I was 14 and they were still as good as today.

yeah i remember in 6th grade (around 11, 12 years old, im 16 now), the skaters were part of the school gothic and punk crowd.

skaters were punk, in fact.

but then idk what happened but in 7th grade, all of a sudden the preppiest of the preppy girly girls got interested in them...

and wtf! all the skater boys sold out and basically integrated into the "popular" crowd

some nobodies at the school decided to become skaters and instantly they became popular..poseurs!!!

i like the real skaters. the ones that always look dirty and wear shirts with band names like metallica on them. long hair.

the poseur skaters always wear expensive skating shirts with skateboarding shoes, trimmed hair, they look very prissy.

seriously, the preps ruined everything!! if it werent for them, the skaters wouldve still been a nation underground! but this was at my school. but i can bet it happened not only there.

I saw some guy around Kylie's school thwat was weaing a blue polo and brown short and he was skating, I laughed at him SO hard. I think the REAL Goths and Punks should build and underground city SPECIFICALLY and STRICTLY for Goths and Punks. But then again... Preps and Emos would take over or something... but that IS a cool idea... Hmmm...

And the thing about lil' preteen prep/emos, they only like HIM b/c Ville Valo is hot. They don't get the TRUE meaning of the songs and don't look at the person Ville is and they just, don't see HIM and the meanings as deeply as the REAL fans do.
