Ha well I found some VERY interesting stuff on Mercades in only a couple of hours! I can't wait to share this all with everyone!!! Well personally I don't think Judd is responsible for many of the things we now know about these 8 teens. After all, I'm sure life wouldn't be as awful for Christina Garcia if 'some dude hadn't gotten really bored' and decided to post these girls' addresses and phone numbers all over the internet. I'm pretty sure THAT hadn't come from from Grady Judd. I kind of think it's something these girls should have accounted for when they decided to make a VIDEO, whether or not they were going to post it on youtube, they should have thought that someone probably would get mad at them for their actions. I think that some of the things Judd has said were unnecessary, but for the most part I think Judd has done a good job in this case. This is just something the girls should have expected by deciding to make their lives and personal information public over the internet. I do think that everyone should have a right to earn justice for something they feel is unlawful or unfair, or something they "think" is unlawful or unfair. I highly doubt she is going to get too far with this whole ordeal. But I think that since Christina Garcia is deciding to file a lawsuit against the sheriff, what is this going to tell Mercades? It's going to show her that maybe the sheriff was WRONG! If her mother thinks he is, chances are Mercades is going to feel like, since Judd (maybe) made a mistake on THIS, well he probably made a mistake sending us to jail! Maybe we really didn't do anything that bad! But who knows how this all will pan out. Oh and by the way, some of these girls have/had youtube accounts and posted other videos. I read a post from a lady who had seen a couple of these girls on camera. Let's just say they were "flaunting their stuff" whether or not this is true I would LOVE to find out, though I am sure if this IS true, the accounts would have been deleted or discovered by now. That will be my next investigation! lol

NOW the "dirt" I dug up on Mercades. I decided that I wanted to look at Christina Garcia's myspace, mainly out of boredom and nothing else. I just thought that either the page would be blocked, or it would just be about her and her social life, or something. But in turn I learned a LOT about Mercades and her situation within a couple of years. First a few interesting facts about Mercades and Christina. -Most know that Mercades has a younger sister a lot younger than her, and I found out that Mercades is 11 years her sister's senior. - Christina owns a business: "Slumber Parties by Christina" Either Christina is a party planner or a prostitute :O -Christina graduated high school in 1991, the year she had Mercades (at age 17) -Christina has in fact been married, but is currently divorced and just kept her married name. Now the good stuff: For a long time there was concern whether Christina was the right parent for Mercades to be living with. I found that Christina was considered a STRICT parent. Imagine that! In fact, Christina spanked Mercades until she was FIFTEEN YEARS OF AGE, along with the usual groundings and taking Mercades' belongings away for a period of time if she abused her privileges. Mercades is still in contact with her biological father who always tried to persuade Mercades to come live with him because he thought that Christina was always "too strict". A custody battle began after that, and the judge told both parents that the Mercades was at the rightful age to decide for herself where she was to live. Well, she ended up choosing her father because of his leniancy on her. But according to Garcia, this choice only lasted about 8 months. There was tension in the house due to Mercades father putting his wife's needs before Mercades' needs. And here's where it gets good (ok well not really GOOD, but ya'll get it): Mercades apparently got tired of the situation, and used an attitude with her father one night. Her father in turn, punched her right in the face. Mercades then called her mom to pick her up. After living with her mother for a while, Mercades asked to have her boyfriend sleep over with Mercades. After Christina angrily objected, there was also tension in the house. This tension went on for a long time, so Mary Nichols who had noticed the situation, offered to have Mercades come live at her house and help keep the residence clean and so on. That was 6 months ago. The link for her myspace is www.mypace.com/pumpkinpie74

Scott, David, Lady Rose, Kristen, Unknown, LAO, and Garland,
This case will be, as it should be, tried in a court of law. I hope and pray that the truth, whatever it may be, will come out, and that justice not vengence will be served. With all my heart I know that without truth, there can be no justice. My best wishes to all of you as I bid you each a fond farewell.

I hope you check back in here from time to time especially when the trial starts. But if not I understand. Best wishes to you Uno.:)

Right now Mercades is probably thinking that she and her mother were wronged by Judd and that she didn't hit Tori so she should have her charges dropped. But the lawsuit will fail and Mercades will go to trial and probably to jail for her role in the assault on Tori. Who is going to pick up the pieces then for Mercades?

First of all, she has to prove that he defamed her, secondly, she has to prove actual damages, real economic damages before she can even claim emotional damages or trauma, thirdly, she has to show that her own actions, i.e., her own criminal background aren't what is preventing people from hiring her. The Sheriff is entitled to express an opinion, in public or not, and he is entitled to characterize the actions of a criminal defendant in a certain way. Not to mention that he has a certain amount of statutory immunity from suit.

I hope she'll come by and say hello, I know that i'll miss her on here. I tell myself sometimes to just stay off, but then I have to check updates and I end up involving my thoughts...Hopefully she didn't feel offended. I will esp. miss her intelligence. Most of all, I sure hope & pray that she is okay.

And One was more kind to the infamous 8 that most posters are here and perhaps that got to her. LPR, it's not so easy to leave here. Why? Because adults can get addicted to posting here like young people do on myspace. I actually took 2 days off from here recently. ;)

I wonder why One left? Maybe she just couldn't stand the addiction of coming on here every day. Maybe she is losing access to a computer? Either way, it was good to have such a knowledgeable person on here (but everyone on here is very intelligent :)
And by the way, I will be out of town on vacation for at least 4 days, so I will not have a computer with me. Just wanted to let everyone know that I am not neglecting them! lol Also, if anything happens between now and when I'm back, please tell me everything! lol
Thanks! And see (ok hear from) you all in a few days! I'll try to do a little research tonight and put up another post before I leave!

Should myspace and youtube delete or suspend accounts for those arrested and facing jail such as the 5 girls who assaulted Victoria Lindsay or played a role in her assault? I saw where Kayla Hassall has updated her myspace account. And I was wondering shouldn't myspace have suspended her account until after the trial?
Shouldn't myspace and youtube have stricter regulations on who gets an account? I'm not being hard on Kayla. I think she should get a second chance at life and be charged only as a juvenile in this case. But until her case and the other girls cases are resolved they in my opinion shouldn't be able to have active myspace and youtube accounts until they have been cleared of all charges or atleast avoided jail. I think having a myspace or youtube account should be a privelage with the right to have your account suspended or cancelled by your actions.

The police report shows that their accounts were "frozen" by MySpace staff. Apparently that means they cannot login or make any changes to the account. I noticed that both Cara Murphy and Kayla Hassall created new accounts as opposed to using their old ones. That's probably because they remain frozen. Christina Garcia said somewhere that she was unable to login to Mercades' account and she attributed it to the account being hacked, but I'm guessing it's because of the freeze.

The kidnapping and beating of a girl which has two hours of video posted for the world to see only establishes the foolishness of those involved and their parents. I think You Tube and those who posted comments (their e-mails are availabe) saying they thought it was funny, should be fined as if they were standing by and holding the coats of those who beat that young lady. I agree with most of you that that heavy fines should be given not only due to kidnapping the girl and the length of the abuse, but for the brazen, hellish way they thought it would humilate the girl by posting it on you tube. Let's wait until they get to jail and we can see you tube video of their cell mates beating the snot of them.
