I just found this site and i am appuled at some of the comments that some people has made. some of you are acting like theese girls were the devil and that this has never happened before. I agree that this should have never happened but for those of us that knew them or of them knew that theese girls were big hearts in a very small community. my daughter was asked by all theese girls to go with them that afternoon, but she already had plans. And now she blames herself everyday for not going with them. Even though its been almost 3 mths since the accident I know that the pain is still there and even on graduation day a few weeks ago you could feel the girls there with all of us. A wise young woman says often " When I look up at the stars I know your all watching over me, RIP Shasta, Anna, Hannah, Linzie, JW and Jermey"

Although it is a tragedy that kids died, what the real tragedy is is that they obviously had a drinking problem that their families chose to ignore.

Every one of the girls had been cited, by the police, for Underage Consumption or similar charges related to drinking. The driver, Hannah Browning, had also been cited for Reckless Driving.

All of this is public information that can be seen by anyone who is willing to go to the Courthouse & look it up.

Please quit acting like these girls were Saints when in fact, they were the opposite. They drank & not only bragged about it but captured it with photos & videos. Maybe that was their own way of crying out for help.

Help that they never did receive.

Now that's a tragedy.

that is why i am so against drinking and driving or drinking in general.I have no need for that devil juice. That is why our organization promotes marijuania. You dont have those kind of accidents. Infact there is a more positive effect with cannabis use. i think drinking should be made illegal and cannabis made legal. It would save so many lives. peace

You are a low-life piece of shit. Why would you bring this up after three years? Do you have nothing better to do then bring up a tragedy that hurt so many people. Obviously, you didn't know any of these girls and you didn't know how wonderful they truly were! Just because people drink does not mean that "they have a drinking problem" I'm sure you were such a saint when you were 18/19 years old you fucking scumbag. Now burn in hell you piece of shit.

If you agree with her you're just as dumb as she is. Tell me you didn't drink or party when you were their age? Grow the hell up and quit placing blame on them. They are dead and their friends and family as still suffering from this but ignorant people like you have to downgrade them.
P.S. Go back to school, learn how to spell and use correct grammar. You do know they have a spell check on here right? As if anyone is going to take advice from someone has the mentality of a 4 year old.

Ok, I don't usually post when it is something this tragic and after it has been over with a long time ago but I am going to make an exception. You say quit blaming them....then who is to blame?

The girls did have a drinking problem. Just look at their myspace pictures. In most pics they are drunk or flashing a bottle/cup of alcohol for the camera. This is why ADULTS should monitor their children's online activity. I am sorry that their friends and families are suffering but there were signs that these girls needed some guidance...
I am not placing blame but don't come on here and say everyone drank while driving at their age. I did not! I will never! Many, many times I show my own children the consequences of drinking and driving on the news. Too many parents are too busy keeping the peace by being their children's friends instead of being parents. Children grow up too fast as it is.
No one is downgrading the girls...people just don't want it to happen again. Those girls are going to be used as examples for a very long time. When my children are old enough to drive..rest assured...they will be driven to the accident site and shown the effects of drinking and driving!

So right you are, But instead of name calling, and debating about the past, let us all remember to pray for these young ladies and their families, and to remember that Our Father knew what laid ahead for these girls and decided to take them home. But there is a 5th girl out there that noone seems to care about, and she lives it everyday. But do we lend her our helping hands, our thoughts, our prayers. God takes care of the dead, but it is our obligation to render a hand to the still living. Be it, the parents or family of the ones that have passed on or the the young lady that was left to carry on.
No, it is not right to drink and drive, for anyone, young or old, but I don't think there has been a tragedy of this magnitude since then, and I pray that there never is. But if there is, let us not be so fast to judge, but lend a helping hand!!
It will soon be 23 years since the passing of my son, it's still embedded in my mind as if it was yesterday. I have forgiven the driver of the car and pray that he has learned. I miss my son everyday, but I know hate, anger, and being judgmental will get me know where. But the love of God, his strength, and forgiveness will get me through. God Bless You And Be A Blessing.
If we sit back and do nothing, we build a heart of stone, and ina since the devil wins, but if we step out and release God wisdom and peace, then we know we've done our best, and He will do the rest.

Nobody cares about the 5th girl because she took the accident to her fame. She has literally told people if you don't know who I am you are stupid. AND she is constantly drinking and driving. You think that what happened to her would teach her not to do that.

See, that's what I mean. Where are her parents, and all those concerned citizens. Because you can't tell me she isn't drinking drugging away her true feelings, and why she wasn't taken to, and what she is suppose to do know. I'll bet youshe doesn't have a clue, and the longer she parties the farther away she'll get from any kind of help.
I'm well over the age of consent, and live through some pretty horrific things, but I could never deal with something like this without help. I imagine for her she's not only suffering her pain, but the pain of her friends. I don't know where my mind would be but I pray it won't indulge in drugs and alcohol. I only know one girl and many of the parents, but I have felt the pain for all and still I pray. But I believe only God can guide us, lead us, and give us the strength to do what's right. Bless You and Be a Blessing.

All of you are ignorant. You should be ashamed of yourself for talking about people like this. Why don't you all leave well enough alone? Let these girls rest in peace. If you all are so much against drinking and driving and to me it sounds like teenagers in general is what you're against, then get out from behind the computer and do something about it. Talk to them, petition the city to build a place for these teenagers to hang out. But no you'd rather sit and point fingers. And if you don't know for a fact that the other girl drinks and drives then don't post it.

As a parent myself, I don't necessarily blame these girls. In fact I lay total blame on the parents plain and simple.

I disagree....I say post it. The reason is simple. It gives a heads up on how ignorant people can be and it also can serve as a wake up call to how bad drunk driving is within the community and especially among our youth. This is not a young girl we are talking about anymore, it is a young woman, and if her actions are continuing then people should talk about them.

Sadly it seems as if the parents were more concerned about the girls being popular than what activities that they were participating in. However it's been three years, let the families and friends move on and grieve in peace without bringing it up again.
