I am a single father. I have had custody of my 3 children for 10 years and unfortunately have been on public assistance for most of that time. My daughter was neglected while in her mother's care.
She would leave 2 bottles of Kool Aid in her crib to appease the baby so she wouldn't wake her up at night. The result of this despicable practice left my beautiful daughter with Major denial problems!
Without going into the endless dental treatments she has been through, I'll just get to the point. She needs and deserves braces. There is no way I will be able to afford then and Government health care has refused to pay for them. She just turned 15 and is ashamed to smile for school pictures because one front tooth is at a 90% angle! I can only pray that we can get some help so she can receive the braces she needs. Please, can you help her. I have x-rays and pictures I will gladly send to those who would be interested. My email is Musichtsf@yahoo.com.

Jeff,
Go to www.s4l.org to see if there is a Smile for a Lifetime Chapter in your area. We provide orthodontic scholarships (free braces) for underserved children. The process is competitive but if your daughter is awarded a scholarship it it well worth the effort to put in an application. I hope this is helpful. Sincerely, Michelle Von Fange, Executive Director Smile for a Lifetime Foundation.
