Teen murder suspect in shooting near Linden-McKinley to be evaluated

One of two teenagers charged in the fatal shooting of a Linden-McKinley STEM Academy student will be evaluated to determine whether he is competent to stand trial.

Quote: Defense attorney Daniel Fletcher filed a motion asking the court to dismiss the case against his client because Washington has been found incompetent by the Juvenile Court in four previous cases, including once in 2012.

But Jamison said a new evaluation is needed to determine whether Washington remains incompetent. Assistant Prosecutor Dennis Hogan said the last full evaluation was made in 2010.

In that report, a psychologist found that Washington had “previously undiagnosed learning disabilities and limitations” and might have mild mental retardation. A Juvenile Court magistrate ruled that Washington was incompetent to stand trial at the time because he was unable to understand the charges against him or assist his attorney

Comment: The mother likely abused alcohol or drugs during the pregnancy. This is a problem in the Black Community and I wonder what steps Obamacare will provide for these Baby Mommas.

This was not some unfortunate accident. The POS went out, with a gun, like a coward, and intentionally murdered a student. And this was not his first run-in with illegal activity, just read the article. F him. String him up.

This is amazing, he is, we are told mildly retatrded yet he has the mental accuity to load a firearm, wait for someone and then murder them.
