Such controversy and outright censorship is unfortunately commonplace in the art world, and photographers such as Polpixeni Papapetrou, Robert Mapplethorpe, and Nan Goldin have all been victims of it when displaying their artistic work just because it involves "underage" members of their family. In other words, they took beautiful nude pictures of their kids yes with the children's permission and although these met absolutely none of the requirements to be called "child porn" still exhibits were shut down and some are work actually confiscated (only to be returned later with an apology). Societies are far too hung up on the subject of nudity and sexuality! It's kind of like they all just need to, grow up.

I googled those artists, well some beautiful and innocently erotic pictures! But I can see how some (tragically uptight) people could get upset about it, they think looking at any kind of undressed child even pictures is somehow wrong.
