Law would let courts restore parental rights

There are 195 comments on the Nevada Appeal story from Apr 5, 2007, titled Law would let courts restore parental rights. In it, Nevada Appeal reports that:

“I feel strongly that we do not go down that road, I would hate to see a circumstance where a parent is, for example, in prison and is sending petition after petition through the courts trying to regain parental rights, disrupting the child's life”

Measure gets unanimous approval from Assembly Judiciary Committee Cathleen Allison/Nevada Appeal Clark County Family Court Judge Gerry Hardcastle, left, and Nevada Assemblywoman Susan Gerhardt, D-Henderson, ... via Nevada Appeal

Termination of Parental Rights (TPR). If the judge orders the termination of your parental rights, you have no rights to your children. They are no longer legally your children. Once they are adopted by another family, they are legally theirs. A TPR is serious because you will not be able to get your children back afterwards.
This is not true, even though you were terminated your rights, you still have grounds for an appeal, even after TPR. I have seen cases go as far as the Supreme courts only to get reversed there. I've researched case law and am a law student and have attorney friends. I say never give up on your children.

I lost custody of my daughter but i still had my rights the last i knew through the courts he took off to another state where i could not find them. When i did he continued to do the same. Unfourtantly he passed away this past week. My daughter is with her sister that has full custody of my daughter.I'm being told that i Apparently gave up my rights not knowing about it. What do i do from here to get my baby?

Maybe you can point me in the right direction. In the county of oklahoma a courthouse took my parental rights away in 2009. I was with my daughters dad and he would FORCE me to drink and use marijuana. Now I know why because him n his mother wanted to molest my daughter, I now know why I kept testing positive for drugs when I was not dojn them they were putging pot butter in my food so I would lose custody. The fathet and his mother soon moved in together and got full custody, then adopted her. Last year I got a call that my little girl was raped by her own father and they took her out of the home, put the fTher in prison until 2042. My little girl and I hv been in touch the entire time since they took her away. Now she has been in texas state custody since and nobody will let me know anytbing!! I am 39 remarried with a 5yr old son who misses his big sister and I'm willing to do drug tests, alcohol tests, mental testing and whatever else to bring my baby home! We just purchased our home and I'm a great parent now..so what are the steps I need to take now to get her home and out of the system??

Thanks, I lost my rights to my child in Georgia last week. My child was brought from New York and sold in Georgia Walker County for a profit. Ex Parte Communication, I.C.P.C. was granted in another state. Georgia refused to allow my child to leave. I just began to fight. Need money, sell your children to Walker County Georgia.

my baby was taken from birth in 2005 and adopted by the courts decision. i fought for her for the first 8 months of her life. i did what the courts asked me to do and still they terminated my rights. i appealed the case and was turned down so i took it as far as the supreme court and they denied me as well. i know that something is not right i feel it every day of my life. my lawyer at the adoption hearing told me i have a good case because i was wronged by the judge but no one will help me and i have no money for a lawyer what can i do?

6 of my 7 children were taken from me in 1993 and 1994 and my rights were terminated. Since then my children have lived with their paternal grandmother who adopted them in 1998. The 2 eldest children were allowed to have ongoing contact with their father even though the court admonished (P)grandmother not to let him live in her home and he in turn raped and sodomised them for years resulting in an abortion for my then 11 yr old daughter at 4 months gestation in 2001. I have been trying to get my children back and have done court appointed parenting classes, domestic violence counseling, therapy and visitation with my girls. The only problem they (the court) had with me was that I believed in physical punishment and was on welfare. I had no one to help me and lived in Michigan alone. I am now single parenting a 6 yr old in NE whom Michigan thought they were going to take from me at birth, but that didn't pan out for them. I have children who are old enough to make the decision to live with me if they wanted to and I want to know if there would be a problem if they did come to live with me. My 17 year old is in a hospital in TN having her 1st baby right now. Will it be taken from her and called a ward of the courts or will she be able to keep him? Can she come to live with me legally?
How did you keep your youngest after they terminated your rights please help

I live in Oklahoma I have 4 kids I am 25 years old. I lost my kids to cps due to their dad abusing me and because he got caught doing it once and went to prison I left him before he went cps got involved I lost them I did everything on my ISP they gave me I did everything they said close to 2 yrs I ended up having to sign my rights over or they were taking my rights so my lawyer said it was better for me and my kids in trying to see them thru the girl that's going to adopt them which is their dads cousin I just signed them over march 25, 2015 I'm 20 wks pregnant and am very scared of cps taking this baby from me.. Can they do that? Should I be worried? What should I do? I don't want to lose this baby to.
