Man following kids to school arrested - Santa Cruz Sentinel

A Santa Cruz transient was arrested Friday after he allegedly followed two boys to school.

This is the kind of attitude that later says "Gee, I'm sorry he attacked those kids, but I had no idea."

child annoying? wow, there are going to be lot of parents going to jail. has anyone ever witnessed or participated in the sibling mealtime ritual of "He's looking at me!"? Children are mae to be so afraid of strangers, especially homeless, when they are more likely to be harmed by those that live in their oawn home. I think we should all worry if someone can be hauled to jail on the testimony of anyone sho says they were looking at them funny. The article didn't state the arrested man had been arrested for anything else, nor was he said to be a registered sex offender, I don't see were they had grounds to arrest. Unless we start arresting anyone we don't like the looks of. That's a great way to run a democracy.

I know this guy. I've seen him downtown often. He is CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY. He's always babbling about God and Jesus. The picture only gives you a static view of him. In person the guy really does have a crazy and violent aura about him.
I agree with a comment above. He's one of those people that afterwards others will say "It's horrible how he attacked those kids. If we had only known....."

The police did the right thing; an adult stranger following a 7 year old for 10 blocks and on more than one occasion?

Err on the side of safety for the kids, tell the adult we're sorry later if it turns out to be a mistake.
