This school cannot keep teachers for a long time. Almost every grade has a new teacher. It's a shame. This school needs to be shut down!

hey!
let me tell you something, this school was good once. it has went down hill thanks to the administration we now have.kids are out of control, especially the middle school.i think campbell co. will be taking over in the next yr or so. also i agree there is a big turnover of teachers, for such a small school this is awful.
if you're smart you won't even look for your kids to get an education at silver grove school. look elsewhere. This is my imput!!!!

We were promised "improvements" would be in effect within 2yrs. Time is up and our school has gone deeper down hill! Our "super" admitted, "it was a disaster!" According to No Child Left Behind, we should be allowed to relocate out kids to another school. Since there is no other school in the district, we are entitled to a school "of choice." Yet, the SCHOOL BOARD that WE elected, refuse us this right. Can we say, "See You In Court!"

Again---Once again Danny in his wisdom to stir things up. This time he has decided to save money and demote a long standing teacher to save money. Never did it come up that in eight hours of hearings that he asked the board to give him a huge raise, which was way more than what he gave his teachers. Also, his salary is more than any other superintendent in N Ky.
Do you think the teachers should have a higher % pay increase or him?

Yep, ole danny boy makes way more than he is even worth! He does not deserve the job, much less a raise! Silver Grove School administrators all NEED BE REPLACED. It seems to me they are more interested in lining their pockets than they are with our childrens education. Our schoold board needs to go too. I am personally going to rally people to run in the next election. It is pretty bad when you go to vote and are forced to vote for people you don't want to because there are no other names on the ballot. THIS MUST CHANGE! OUT WITH DANNY, MONTY, AND THE SCHOOL BOARD!!!!

Maybe not the entire school. I think the high school students would be served better going to a bigger school.

It was not only a long standing teacher but also the food service director/attendance. Both are out an they don't even care. The administration don't know the students names or anything about our students. They only care about who they can get rid of and where are they going for lunch.

I we get rid of Danny boy from down on the farm and the big smelly principal and replace them with people who really care about our school and students the school would be a good school again with better behaved students, a cleaner environment conducive to learning, and tests scores that are actually not in the gutter like they are know. Those were the days and they were not that long ago. Lets say, go back 5 years.

It seems as many of you don't know all of the great things that are taking place at Silver Grove School. Silver Grove is a great place for kids!! Many new educational initiatives are being put into place to insure these children receive the best education! That school has many terrific faculty and staff members who always do what's right for kids!

Are you kidding me? Do you ever attend anything at this school? If it is so great, why did 15 people (which included teachers) show up to testify against what the school board is doing? Oh, the school did paint the hall and the gym. But, how does a painted hall and gym teach my kid about math, reading, writing or history? Again, if it's so great, why are a few other teachers currently looking for positions to get out of this school? Select teachers are doing their hardest to "change" things, but the results come to be the same!

Obviously....I am in the school every day! Obviously....I would like to know why the scores are worse now than 2 yrs ago.
Obviously...I would like to know why my child's class was left unattended and the office had no clue a sub was not coming.
Obviously...I would like to know why 2 high school students were in the elem. restrooms smoking and nothing was done!
Obviously, you have nothing but gossip to say...while I have factual experience!!!!!!

this school is a mess, as long as these two jokers are at our school, it will continue going downhill. the old cow milker and the joke that is our principal, need to be replaced. if anyone can homeschool their kids or send them some place else, they will be better taken care of. the over turn of teachers, because of the way they are treated is bad enough. no kid has a future there, it's all about the money. after all our superintendent needs his raises, to heck with the teachers. the saying at this school is: the more money in my pocket the better!!!

All of you are posting from such far away places; how would anyone in California know what's going on in Silver Grove?

Oh please, you know that people have not put their real location in. People are afraid--parents and teachers both. Students are not treated fairly. It depends on who your parent is and if you play sports. Teachers are afraid to make any waves. Life becomes very hard for them.
