Im sick over the statement made by this person Sandy
Shrum ! Here is what she said

She said he was nice, but different.

"He didn't have many friends, he was kind of an outcast and everyone made fun of him in the hallways," she said. "His hair, he dyed it different colors every other week, and he just wasn't like everyone else." Does she not know this is a form of bullying these student's were doing and it seems nothing was done about it!Why was nothing done to these students that made this kids life a hell and now his little life is gone his parents are left with nothing but hurt. Oklahoma needs to start addressing the things that matter in todays world people are different and always will be no matter how much religon you sick down their throats, it seems that is all that matters and sports. They need to make students more aware of the fact that people can and always will be different and if God made them then he loves them no matter what, he will be the one to judge in the end not you me or these students, parents. It stems from home!A person might be bullied due to their physical appearance, such as a clear distinctive mark on their face, for example a birthmark or scars
Many people who experience this may have their self-esteem slowly dwindled away as so does their ability to argue back as they will often accept the remarks made about them.
Some people may cut themselves off from the world as they see themselves as outcasts or unwanted by people they know, when in fact it is the opposite and they just need a little bit more love plus time to rebuild their lives
Other differences on how a person looks are their hair colour, style and their height.
There are many differences as we are all different in some shape or form, this makes us unique and gives no one the right to bully us for it. We are all different at the end of the day.
And oh GAYS OMG dont mention that it might rub off yea right. There have been gays in this world since the creation get the hell over it. Im so sick of people not accepting people for who they are not what they are or look like.
If your kid had no arms and legs would you love them any less NO! Would you like it if people called him or her a stump NO that is my point. This kid had to be so bullied that his little life was not worth waking up to face that again and again in school and God only know the people in the streets, store and anywhere he went Shame on you Oklahoma and the students who made this kids life a living hell for killing one of your own! You will have to deal with it for the rest of your lifes and when you have a child of your own you will understand. The youth of today that has minds like these kids that did this to this young man need to look in their own backyard im sure you will find out one of your mother or fathers uncles aunt's or their children or their mothers and fathers were different. Let this be a lesson to you all who made this kid hurt everyday and cry when he was alone and no one to tell his true feelings to stay in your minds until you change and accept people for who they are. You don't have to bother with them or be buddies, Just don't hurt people for your own stupid ways that will make you look like the better person because you are not or ever will be, May his little soul RIP

"Why is nothing being done about it?"
Thank God somebody is saying what needs to be said. I live in this same town as Triston did, my kids attend the same school system, and bullying is almost treated as a rite of passage. My own children are bullied by their peers, one of which is in KINDERGARTEN. I sat down with the teacher, who informed me that she has "never seen bullying take place" as well as the principle, who responded with a similar oblivious -- if not condescending -- apathy.
The general consensus here in this right-wing town is that bullying only takes place when children physically assault one another. As parents, our fears and objections regarding emotional traumatization are received with a simple, "Coddling these children will only hinder their ability to cope in the real world."
Hm. Interesting. Last time I checked, the only kids getting coddled are the ones who bully and beligerently harass other students.
JUSTICE FOR TRISTON.

It is time for all the parents to stand up for your kids and if necessary take it to every news station. Fight and keep on fighting. What the shame is this kid will be forgotten not soon after he is laid to rest, I have seen some comments Oh he did it to himself.! What Yes you jerk because of asswipes like you that bullied him and made fun of him. Im sure half of the bulling asswipes attended his funeral because of guilt. Well the coach is another sick asshole they want manly men if your different they shun you or encourage others to make a laughing stock of you. Well his ass needs to be fired. I don't care if my kid went to school with blue hair, pink shoes, or mohawk haircut anything just anything heir she is my kid and if you dont like what you see then don't look at it! I was so sick how they treat kids in Oklahoma and alot of other southern states. Open your minds people you are raising the future and isnt it better to let people be who they are and not what you want them to be!.Well that is why people hide hidden camera's to catch what goes on when you are not there. Go on some web sites and look for spy cameras. I would hide one in the classroom. Catch them and then fight them all the way to a courtroom. I have noticed people do not want to make waves because then they take it out on the kid. Well if that ever I mean ever happened to my kid I would be beating some teachers ass or whoever . Im sorry I am not violent but when it comes to your children. You do what needs to be done. The best way is to catch them and let the law handle it, if nothing is done because of small minded assholes then call every news station, Board of ed and report it and keep reporting it until something is done.

Coweta schools are disgusting. The town itself is disgusting. The bullying starts at the elementary level and continues on thru high school. The teachers and principals do nothing...because they are bullies too. This school system needs to be dismantled and rebuilt from the top down. I know of so many people that have gone to Broken Arrow begging them to transfer their kids. Everybody knows Coweta! Everybody knows the truth. They don't get it either. People are really judging that town, yet they continue on in their arrogance. Coweta is out of touch with reality. Poor teaching skills, not teaching at required state levels, unorganized, rude, discriminatory, the list goes on and on. What is sad is there are a few teachers that are really, really trying to excel. These teachers are having their reputations tarnished. But by by the same token...their silence condones. It's just Harper Valley PTA all over again.
