Is family part of the reason only 3/4 of high school students graduate?
The breakdown of the family has created some chaos
in the students' lives. Non related people residing in the home (boyfriend/girlfriend) nonblood/no connection to the child. So the child
possibly is out of the loop. This would not occur
in all situations but it happens.
Also baby daddies' where are they...not in the home
todays stats in the TU show Schenectady with 50%
of the children in poverty and Albany 37%....
PreK is good but children to return to the home
that they have. Improve that better chance for kids.

P. S. Sometimes one parent households are necessary because of domestic violence or death of one parent. Wish things could be better.

Take African Americans out of the equation and our educational system is just fine...they're simply not that bright, and we're wasting our time and money on them.

No many African Americans have excelled but the homelife
is very important.
