Catholics have no purpose in life. Why do these degenerates choose the "Catholic lifestyle" anyway ?! And yes that degenerate lifestyle IS a choice !
And they CAN change if they want to. They COULD lead a decent, moral, God-fearing Protestant lifestyle if they would ONLY turn to the teachings of Martin Luther !
If you do not follow the teachings of Martin Luther as laid out by "St. Martin's Second Reformed German Lutheran Church and Microbrewery", you have NO HOPE of eternal salvation !
I hope you deplorable Catholics TURN from your decadent "Catholic lifestyle", and follow the teachings of Martin Luther so you can lead a God-fearing Protestant lifestyle as God and The Founding Fathers of our great republic intended !
It's up to you !

Of course it was absolutely serious ! Martin Luther repented for his degenerate Roman Catholic lifestyle, married a former nun that he had smuggled out inside a barrel, and opened a brewery. Thank GOD he saw the error of his degenerate ways and became a God-fearing Protestant just as our Founding Fathers intended !

<quoted text>Here's what gets me. She isn't even part of the district she wants to interfere with.
For years I've watched conservatives pound away for more local control of districts. The religious conservatives get very touchy if someone from the outside tries to tell them how they should operate their school. Yet listen to the silence from them about her.
I suspect she's loving all this attention and doesn't care one bit about the trouble she's caused the Sullivan High School, the district and the students that go there. In fact I have seen several stories where students of the school are now being harassed because they go to that High School.
Ms Medley can claim she loves all people and make any other claims she wants about how good she is and how she's only thinking of the children. I'm not buying it.
She took the entire population of an entire school hostage in a district she doesn't work for or live in. And she sees nothing wrong in that.
Exactly! You know, there are so many things I don't agree with and don't want my child subjected to....in those cases, I choose to keep them home instead of fussing and forcing my opinion on someone.
If she would have just said she doesn't agree w/ it and didn't want it around her kids...and then kept her kids home, or have a special party for them, it would have been fine. Going to the extreme she did just makes her look like a child that throws a fit when she doesn't get her way!

When this story first broke I posted on another thread that this is a perfect example of "entitlement mentality".

For so long everyone focused on the African American community and welfare. This clearly shows that "entitlement" has been a big part of the straight conservative religious white community.

This also takes me back to the Susan G. Komen fiasco. The anti-gays were outraged that people got offended by her comments. Not a single one pointed out that as a high profile Board Member the woman had a responsibility to consider how her remarks might affect the organization she worked for.

Diana Medley had no concern for how her plan and idea would affect those high school students. As another poster pointed out, I hope the parents of the Special Ed students she is responsible for take a serious look at her character and decide if they want their children exposed to someone who considers some children "worthless".

And have you noticed the resounding silence from the right to life folks? Not one person from that side has challenged her "worthless children" idea.

Those who are regulars on here and familiar with my history may recall the time I worked for a great organization and wore a "non-breeder" button on my jacket to and from work.

Thanks to a wonderful boss (a straight married Baptist BTW) I came to understand just how offensive that button was.

But the reason I bring it up is because one of the other reasons I threw that button into the sewers one night. I was employed by a very important and influential organization. They treated me with respect. I couldn't show them respect if I was wearing a button like that.

Yep! As a matter of fact, I was trying to explain this situation to my 8 yr old son and he wasn't grasping it. He, at 8, asked why she felt "entitled" to her own way! Its so hard to tell you kid to respect their elders and TRUST their educators when some if them so publicly show hatred! He asked if his teacher felt the same way. Its going to be heartbreaking to watch the impact this single situation has on innocent kids.

Are you suggesting that when asked questions it is showing hatred by speaking honestly? Perhaps you should have someone else explain things to your son. It's way past time those like you took your political correctness and shoved it. You should be teaching your son that just because there are a minority of people who expect everyone else to accept their perversions doesn't in any way mean he should. He would be better off staying away from those who would poison his mind with debauchery and vile practices and become a decent human being.

It's those like you that make normal people dislike the freaks. You don't have many friends do you? Typing stupid only shows you to be stupid. I've a hunch that even the morally bankrupt would have nothing to do with you.

DNF and others----back away from the ledge. Much of what the woman said was taken out of context. Did she choose some inappropriate words like "no purpose"----probably. Did she call anyone "worthless"----not that I recall.

I do not know her but I would bet she is a GOOD teacher and the parents of her students have no problem with her.

She has a first amendment right just like all the rest of us. We can disagree, but she has her right to her belief. Move on!
