Mama-I think you waste too much time worrying about responding to the stupidity of Ned K. He is an attention seeker. Keep up your positive work and let Ned click his hooves at the keyboard...it keeps him busy and out of traffic.

Wang, this lady was nice enough to answer your questions. Do you really have a problem with your tax money supporting people like this? People that WORK to make their situation better? People that hit hard times (as anyone can), need assistance, and make the best of it by turning things around. You really have a problem with people like that? What kind of person would have a problem with this? What would you prefer she had done in her circumstances? What would YOU have done if in her shoes?
I used to think of you as a bigot, but still believed you were what you believe to be patriotic. The only way this lady's story could be more American was if she made Apple Pie for a living. I am worried about you Wang.

mama - ms. mitchell- again, i am amazed at your generousity. you owe no one an explanation, certainly not ned kelly. it is doubtful that your answers will satisfy him. he wants to be ugly and confrontational. your questions to him are on the money, especially the last one. i think you nailed it again. have a great journey. you sound like a person worth knowing.
Thank you so much :-)

Well, I do bake a mean apple pie - no charge for decent, caring people. Ned & Wang, you'll have to pay through the nose

I think you are a beautiful inspiration to single mothers everywhere and I am very sorry for the loss of your husband.

I was at home bathing two of my children, while the older two were doing homework, when I received the call that destroyed all of our lives. My husband and father of all four of my wonderful children, was killed in a car accident on his way home from work.
I never remarried for reasons I choose not to discuss.
I am a strong, determined woman who fought through all adversity to make something of my life, when it would it have been easier to just stay home and wallow in sorrow - allowing others to bear the burden of my and my children's trauma.
I relied very little on the community services mentioned in the article. The point was - the support was available as needed. I had help from friends and family, as well as my savings to support my efforts to fight through the heartbreak and become a whole functioning human being once again.
By the way, my children are all gifted and talented learners despite the tragedies they have endured. They are decent, caring people who make a difference in this world. I sense that no one would make the same claim about you, Mr. Kelly.
If you provide me with an address where i can send a cashier's check, I will reimburse you for whatever percentage of tax you believe contributed to my family's well being. I will not be indebted to an odious, spiteful shell of a man with nothing better to do than spin paranoid delusional webs of hatred and fear.
Or, we can call it even, since my tax dollars surely pay for your depends and home health nurse visits when you soil yourself after a series of these online tantrums.
Bottom line: I weighed in on this thread of discussion to thank the people who tried, in vain, to speak reason to your ridiculous rants. It is most apparent that attempting to rationally discuss anything with you is like polishing brass on the titanic.

I find these post humorous. Don't you all have more productive things to do then be concerned about my personal business. So to set the record straight.I did this whole working on campus, and no none of you paid for Mills, my grades did that, it's called scholarship! Further more I have now finished Mills, and now have my Bachelors Degree, while working 30-40 hours a week. So, just because you can't do what I do doesn't mean it can't be done...
