all I can say is I have children that attend pfaff and that my children are picked up in a development and not on a main road I find that to be BS.

I agree, complete BS! My kids attend Neidig and the bus comes into our neighborhood.

I think it depends on the size of the development you live in. I lived in a smaller development and the bus wouldt come in, it waited for all the kids at the entrance

I think when the bus stop is located at a busy intersection, common sense would be to relocate to inside the development where the kids are from. It is safer for the kids and traffic flow is better. Our first bus stop for my kids was down across the street at the end of the block where cars do not stop and fly on through. There was currently another bus stop literally right outside our house. Why were my kids sent down and across the street at the end of the block if there was a closer and safer option? We requested a bus stop change, I stated my reasons and the request was granted on the issue of safety. I'm convinced that whoever makes these decisions of where to place a bus stop and who gets sent to which stop doesn't know their ass hole from their pie hole and probably doesn't even personally drive themselves.

The buses go through Parkside Estates, many of them, all day long. Streamview is right next to Parkside so why can't they enter that developement? Allentown Rd. is one of the worst roads around for accidents. No shoulder and people fly up and down. I would really raise a stink if my kids had to board the bus from that road.

I live in the development, it would add less than 1/2 a mile to the route with no additional stops and take the children out of harms way. The street is wide with 2 gentle turns. What's to think about?
So do something

Take your complaints to the next school board meeting. Get all the Mom's in the development together & attend in force. Asking the bus to make a swing into that development isn't asking much especially for how much we all pay in school taxes.

The bus comes in our development, but just the front half for the Tochickon and Strayer students. The high school students are picked up out front on Mill Rd.

The only way a bus won't come into a development is if the roads haven't been turned over to the township. Until then, even though they are roads, they are still considered private property.

We had snow removal provided by the builder until the township took over.

Is your development like that?

The development was dedicated to the Milford Township several years ago.
