This is just another attempt by the town council to try to increase their property values. If they want to clean up stanardsville, buy the rental properties in stanardsville and revitalize them. This is stupid how about the people to the East of stanardsville? How about the congestion around the Sheriff's office and rescue squad. The mayor needs to get his head out of his blank and stop looking for personal gain

Stanardsville is a ghost town, so how will decreasing traffic help the town out? All the action is along route 29. I would put a business there, not in Stanardsville!!

How else are they supposed to get off 231? Ever heard of don't let your kids play in the street? Not worried about all the other traffic hitting them, just trucks? You know, you move into a house next to the road, expect traffic!! Kinda like moving next to the train tracks.

Get rid of the slum lords. Putting in pretty sidewalks and lighting this summer won't make people want to use them if they are going to be harassed by folks sitting instead of working?

Turning point now Stanardsville......do this right or not at all. More businesses on main street, less section 8 housing.

The public roads are not your childrens private playground and some parents need to take a basic parenting skills class....

Less sec 8 housing? not a chance, the slum lords of Stanardsville would go broke.
