Rates of skin cancer in children increasing
#1 Sep 7, 2012
Isn't it obvious? Skin cancer is caused by sunscreen, it doesn't prevent it. Sunscreen is filled with chemicals, including cancer accelerators and hormone disrupters, plus it blocks the body's ability to absorb vitamin D from the sun. Vit. D is a cancer fighter.
Skin cancer rates have risen in countries where sunscreen is promoted heavily (U.S., Australia) and among young people, who have been using sunscreen their entire lives. Why isn't it rising among those over 40, who never used sunscreen as children, and spent a lot more time outside when they were young?

Dear Gracie- I've actually never heard that sunblock causes skin cancer. My oncologists have never implied this as well. I was doing some research online to find some good answers to your concerns and to clear things up. Here is a an interesting website I found: http://bit.ly/XRQ5dp I hope that this helps you out.
