Mr. Brown is sick and needs some counciling. Thats obvious - but it's also obvious to anyone who lives in this town that those who live in the projects let their kids run wild and terrorize the whole downtown. They wont even get out of the middle of the road when you are trying to drive thru. My kids would never be "out hanging out at an old mans house" these parents need to do their parental duties and keep after their kids!!! It doesnt hurt to check that your kids are where they say they are going to be. They are kids - they make bad choices - thats why God gave them parents to lead them in the right way.

This is just my OPINION once again....The parents are 50% responsible, 1). they should know were their kids are and 2). the stories really dont make sense if someone was molesting u and raping you so bad why continue to go back over there, at the age of ten and up u know better, in my eyes some of these minors want to smoke weed and drink, regardless mr brown is sick and should spend the rest of his miserable life in jail, but all three parties are reaponsible in my OPINION..if ur old enough to smoke weed, drink and be in a grown mans house they should have known to tell their so-called responsible parents... this is just my OPINION Mr.or Mrs. EDITER...
Well...You know what they say about opinions...

Lauren, how dare you, point the finger at just Mr. Brown about stealing their innocence, POINT THE FINGERS AT THE PARENTS!!!!.... might as well have done the crime themselves!!!!!
Wow! You must really know the facts of this tragedy and even sat in on the trial ... right? How dare you point any finger at Attorney Sulcove! She enforced the laws on the books, didn't back down & got a predator off of our streets. How about a "Thank you Lauren. You're doing much more than I am to protect the children of this county!" I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't have been a proper forum for the DA to condemn the parents during the criminal's jury trial.. that's the defense attorney's job. To shift blame &make excuses for the criminal's actions. While you're at it, blame Willie's parents for doing such a bang up job raising him, blame the schools for not providing more after school activities, blame the media for the "sex sells" approach, the government for not providing free daycare, BLAME WILLIE BROWN!!!! Sometimes its better to keep your thoughts to yourself if you aren't going to really think through what you're saying.

exactly guilty. where were the parents on all this?? And Lauren, how dare you, point the finger at just Mr. Brown about stealing their innocence, POINT THE FINGERS AT THE PARENTS!!!! They didn't want bothered with their children, they didn't care enough about them then oh but now they want to be the 'parents' shame on them!!! they are guilty as well and i hope they have problems looking in the mirror knowing they cast stones and live in glass houses. what mr brown did was wrong, but those parents opened the door for him, gave him free reign, and might as well have done the crime themselves!!!!!

Confused--You surely can't be a parent...But I'll bet you have a lot of "parent baggage". On the other hand, are you a parent with a whole lot of guilt? You also sound like you're infected with anger.

I agree with you there! Those kids weren't old enough to be out "visiting" by themselves. Sounds like the kids were just let run loose on the streets. No big surprise for this town! Wonder why the crime rate is getting so bad? Just look around. I've seen little kids pilfering the South Gate parking lot.
