While there IS a tendency for some parents to over induldge *some* kids out of over compensation, guilt and other completely understandable feelings...: if a teacher or ANYONE has resorted to physical punishment such as this then they have no business working any children, disabilities or none.
You sure as hell aren't "teaching" by harming a child. I took my current class of kids K-3 from a teacher who thankfully quit. It took me almost a solid year to undo the damage she'd done by verbally abusing the kids.

How about a warning to a teacher who might do the same so day? I dated a woman by the name of Jessica Rae Caldwell born on 2/11/83 from Granite City, IL who the police are protecting. Her dream job was a job where she never had to worry about anyone succeeding in life. That job? Teaching kids with disabilities. Apparently she wants to be there for them when they are young but when they get older, they lose out. She doesn't feel bad verbally abusing an adult with mental drawbacks (I do have a bowling alley full of witnesses) but I guess it's different if they're kids huh? Regardless, she works in the Plainfield school system and should have a complete psychiatric evaluation. She has stalked two of her ex-boyfriends as well as has extreme OCD which could effect your kids. Of course no one will do anything until it's too late as usual. Thank you invisible God for the dumbest people possible being hired for police officers otherwise they might as well not have ruined a guy's life over a bunch of LIES. Ha Ha. I'd still rather be me any day of the week than any of the pigs who make the mistake of believing ghetto trash and then making another mistake and involving yourself in civil matters.

also, for those who do not have a family member with autism.
there is no one type of autism. it is a spectrum.
at one end is the high functioning form to the most severe
one at the other end.
.
being a parent to a child with a form of autism is NO easy task. but we who have children to a point can understand what the teachers who have to deal with our kids to a point.
.
I'm not defending the teachers. thing is how many of you fellow parents with kids with autism talk to your kid(s) teachers. do you let them know what sensitivities that kid has? do you give them tips on how to deal with a possible meltdown?
.
by the way. not only am I a parent to a kid with autism. but I too have been found to be on the spectrum. my daughter and I are both aspies.
