It confirms results of a previous study that proved that the best indicator of a child's future success is having both a father and mother in the home. BTW, which didn't you think you needed? Homosexual adoption denies a child one or the other.
Don't you have a date with a whale, preferably orca?

I'd have said sperm, that being the only whale that could swallow a man whole, but you'd have taken it the wrong way...

They (UT) have been speaking the literal truth, but in such a way as to confuse the issue.

David, the correct spelling is "maneuvers".
Just thought you would like to be corrected, since you place spelling ahead of content. Your content having to be constantly corrected by snyper.

The correct spelling is MANOEUVRES David.. from the French "manoeuvre" I know Americans spell it maneuvers but that's only a degradation of the original spelling in order to make it easier for the lazy.. Since you seem to have this mad obsession with me let me inform you I also have another four languages I can give you lessons in; IF you ever decide to drop that over-rated Bible and learn the real facts of life and their undoubted delights.. There.. Am I convoluted enough for you? PS. Snyper is a very clever man and I'm not ashamed of consulting him or even being corrected by him, if needed.. I'm not unduly proud.. you are.

People like him are desperate for anything to validate themselves with, and do not know enough about the rest of the planet to realize when they are being dumb. Canadian spelling differs from American as well.

Look. It all getting muddled up.
The denial of scientific malfeasance by Regnerus is completely off-base and intended to confuse the issue.
Regenerus's errors were in the design, execution and interpretation - none of which are malfeasance.
The malfeasance was by the REVIEWERS.
The University is intentionally confusing the two issues in the minds of those uninformed about the research and review processes.
Nobody has done anything illegal ... just horribly (and evilly?) unethical and unprofessional.
Unprofessional, that is, unless one is a professional smear artist.
!!! It's a strange claim, this attempt to call what he did "misconduct."

It's not misconduct; it's simply mendacious, sloppy and *factually incorrect*.

And remaining an orphan denies a child both!

Assuming that you're right about two heterosexual parents being the ideal situation, whould single parents therefore be denied legal benefits? And what about stepparents -- should such families be denied legal rights because their situation is less than ideal?

There are thousands of orphaned children earthwide, and you are going to make an issue of the fact that single people would like to offer them a home?-- Seriously?!

For PR purposes, they charged him with "academic misconduct", a charge of which they knew he was not guilty.

They KNEW that in a dumbed-down America, the average reader wouldn't make a distinction between "academic misconduct" and "scientific micsonduct". One is grounds fro dismissal from the UT faculty. The other is grounds to be laughed-at and criticised by the scientific community. The one carries very tangible penalties. The other, only professionally in a social sense.

It might reduce his chances of grants for other researches, but apparently there are "foundations" who will pay for bogus "research", so I doubt that he would starve by pandering to them. The problem for such "foundations" is that his ilk are of little use to them if they are not affiliated with some respectable institutions.

UT seems to be participating in this charade because they are deep in the biblicist belt and, in these hard economic times when a lot of Universities investment portfolios were hard-hit, appear to be pandering to the sensibilities of rich fundie alumni.

At the brttom of it all is a badly-designed SURVEY administered to a badly-selected population.

It bears similarity -- startlingly so -- to the shenanigans of the church, historically speaking: attempts to silence people, propagate falsehood, and support its own non-scientific and virulently prejudiced contentions.

In Century Number Twenty-One, that fight of hundreds upon hundreds of years ago continues unabated. I continue to insist that somehow, this needs to be introduced in a court setting and *shattered to powder* as recorded into the transcript of a court's proceedings. Legally. Thoroughly. And finally.
