'Gay literature' included in new California K-12 recommended reading list

Mar 23, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: KABC LA

The California Department of Education has released its new reading list for K-12 students, and for the first time ever it is recommending kids read so-called "gay literature." The updated list, which includes more than 7,800 recommended books, is meant to prepare students for college and the ever-changing world.

That's only in your own imagination. And why it it there in the first place?

And that, boys and girls, is why California is known as the land of the nuts and the fruits and the flakes.

It would be nice if there was a link to the "reading list" so I could form my own opinions about it's contents.

I can think of some titles that would be excellent, and a lot of others that would not be advisable.

I don't consider the "Stonewall Book Award" to be a valid criteria for inclusion into an academic curriculum.

The most I could find was:

First off, liar, you are fooling no one with your false name or false area of residence.

Second, why do you IMMEDIATELY go to the vulgar side of any discussion, without a pause? It shows way more about where your head is at, in your pants.

When I first read the article, the first literature I thought of was probably "Jimmy has two Dads" or something of that nature. You first thought of adult pornography. OK....

Pennsylvania, the land of beans and farts.

And the quote is merely "fruits and nuts", the "flaking" is in your 150 year old house with lead paint flakes dropping into your Heinz beans.

I have Pa. roots, my whole family came from Pittsburgh, and I spent many a humid summer and freezing Christmas vacation there, so I know of what I speak.

It's just a cross we have to bear, SniKKKers. Not every place can be as glamorous, sophisticated, and intellectually stimulating as Grove City, Pennsylvania.

Who needs glamorous or sophisticated? Intellectually stimulating we have in spades along with other attributes you couldn't begin to understand.

Beans? Where did that come from? My house isn't 150 years old and doesn't have flaking paint. I don't eat Heinz beans, and you are probably an an embarrassment to your Pittsburgh family.

I notice you didn't name any of those attributes I "couldn't begin to understand." This is, of course, because they don't exist. Well, except for prestigious proximity to two rural freeways.

"Intellectually stimulating we have in spades"? You must be referring to your pathetic hick town's only "college," which has once again been named the most homophobic in the country:

No doubt this is the "attribute" yuens are most proud of. Now go worsh your dishes and redd up your trailer. Ooops, I mean "treller."

Hardly, my cousin is a big civil right lawyer and he LOVES to fight for gay rights, even though he is 100% hetero.

Gator, this one is for you, too. It never fails to amaze me how lefties operate. You go along with tons of odious government regulations and actual theft that the government commits all under the guise of "helping the poor." You pretend that you have these huge bleeding hearts about the plight of all the "poor people." And yet you are the first ones to make fun of someone who cannot afford better housing than a mobile home. That to me is the height of hypocrisy and dishonesty. If you lefties genuinely cared about the poor, you would never put them down for the only kind of housing they can afford. I never hear conservatives making fun of poor people in that heartless fashion. I know that socialist policies have been put in place by politicians voted in by poor people who are trying to look out for themselves, but most despicable are the politicians and their supporters who USE poor people in order to get the kind of controlling government they clearly want while making fun of poor people and putting them down behind their backs. You can't get much more dishonorable than that.

Okay, let's cut all government "help". That will bankrupt every red state. I'm sure TRUE conservatives will applaud no more government welfare, right?

BTW--trailers cost more per year than the average apartment. People choose to live in these tornado-snacks.

I'm not the one calling out the government help. I don't think the government IS helping no matter how much money they pour into entitlement spending. They are simply taking away any incentives for people to do for themselves. I'm just saying that liberal claim they are all for big government to "help the poor" when it is clear from remarks made about "the poor" by leftists, especially by gays, indicate they don't care about the poor in the least. They just want to USE the poor to grow the government.

Trailers may cost more initially, but eventually they are paid for if the person living in it owns it. Apartments are NEVER paid for because most of the time the tenant is renting, not buying. It is almost always smarter to own your place.

Oh give it a rest, SniKKKers. As you well know, there's much more to being trailer trash than a simple absence of affluence. What makes you think I or anyone else is referring to poverty? You have never read a comment of mine denegrating the poor, and you never will. As usual, you are assuming facts not in evidence.

And don't talk to me about what "is the height of hypocrisy and dishonesty." You fill that bill quite nicely. You come here regularly for no other purpose than to denigrate gay people, and when questioned about your continued presence, you lie. I especially liked the one about your being here for young people, as though confused teenagers would come here eager to avail themselves of your sage advice.

So stop calling the kettle black, SniKKKers. Your feigned indignation fools no one and only exposes you for the lying hypocrite you are.
