Don't try to blame the residents. They are NOT asking for more services, they are asking for lower taxes, plain and clear. Residences in that part of the city have seen outrageous rises in taxes and now they pay tax bills far in excess of their mortgages. And what do they get in return? Crime, hopelessly bad schools, and public housing. And it doesn't matter how they vote, the democrat machine in office will not stop raising those taxes.
