I have no issues with kids. It's the adults who blew my mind.

I was informed about that knock on your door before I read about it here. What was so funny about it?

that bus driver should have to undergo a mental evaluation... if he cant tell a toy gun from a real one, then how can u trust him with your childrens lives on the road?
Maybe he's nearsighted. Better safe than sorry. At least he cared enough to not turn his head. He gets props for that!

Yeah, lets bash the bus driver who at a distance sees someone walking around a school with a gun. Who the heck cares if it turned out to be a toy. At least the driver had the safety of the students in mind. What if it had been a real weapon? Would that make you feel better? Stupid driver! He should be fired for giving a damn!

because, i had ordered a pizza before the kids went off to school...

now if the pizza is not at my door by the time pizza huts website says it will be, then i get it for free...

so i was expecting a late pizza..

so not knowing the police were the ones knocking..i opened the door and yelled "YOU'RE LATE!!!"

the cops had no idea how to react..it was a great ice breaker..

that is funny my friend...

this may be before your time..but when i was young the lone ranger was a smash on tv...

we would run around the play ground and use our thumb and finger to make a gun shape and play the lone ranger during lunch...

my grand kids have had the police called on them in another district for doing the same thing..the school officials construed it as a "terrorist threat"

btw...those grand kids were only 6 and 7 when this happened..

what a joke our PC society has become..

TWPR you are right. It is ignorant that people have to live guarding every action they make or work that comes out of their mouth because someone might get their feelings hurt. Stupid. Just plain stupid. Now mind you I dont believe in hurting others on purpose, that is just mean.
I do commend the bus driver in this incident for taking the action he/she did. From a distance it may have been difficult to tell what the father was carrying. I would rather the district and driver take the action they did. The alternative is just too horrible to think about. I cannot imagine any parent having to bury a child for any reason.
