Why does the PT lack transparency regarding the "mother in need"? Keeping the mother's identity secret indicates she and her children might be living in this country illegally. The PT should be ashamed of themselves for attempting to bamboozle people in their own community.
What's the PT's money angle on this? Who's paying them? Our local paper shoudn't be involved in some kind of racket.

Article quote: "raising two children on her own with no help" should read: "raising two children on her own with no help except for the massive government subsidies and entitlements that her class has come to expect when they spawn irresponsibly"

I get really really tired of people playing the 'poor me' card.

I can't afford to send my kids to camp, but being of European descent and middle class taxpayer status, I am not worthy of free handouts.

In the interest of "fair and balanced" reporting, I would like a pity piece for my two children that cannot afford to go to camp because we shoulder an oppressive tax burden.

Great observation. The problem is poor stupid women having babies they can't afford, with men who don't want them. This gives them leverage over the still intact working middle-class parents, because they threaten society with their little loose-cannons who live in incredibly depraved conditions, as opposed to the middle-class family, who cannot afford summer camp, but still have a working mom and dad who care about their kids.
I'm sick of poor stupid women pointing a loaded gun (their dysfunctional children) at the state, and I'm tired of the state constantly "blinking," so these poor socially incompetent women drain the people with their very real threat of unleashing their fatherless, broke, potentially evil spawn.

People of all races and backgrounds need to take responsibility for their lives and stop expecting others to make all their problems "go away". Your life is yours, and will be what you make of it. People need to stop expecting "the government" to fix everything.

That said, the article involved voluntary donations to a charitable organization. People can say "no" to making donations if they disagree with the cause. The bigger problem is this: I want to be able to say "no" to the government tax collector!
