It's not the website it's the attitudes of some of the people on here. As it's been said; DRAMA, people give the word a new meaning.
But believe me there are people that honestly care and pray the best for you. The mother who lost a child 20+ years ago,due to a drunk driver, CARES, AND MANY MORE. But our caring won't help you, our prayers will but it's up to you. You have to chose, stand responsible for YOU AND YOUR ACTIONS. There is nothing that can be done for the other girls, but you, you are the most important one now. You have so much to help and offer others to change the outcome and ideas of young people. I know kids will be kids, and they are going to do as they please. But that's not so hearing it from someone whose been there, done that, made bad choices and lived through it and stood responsible not for someone else's actions but just yours.
Don't let your friends lives and your be taken in vain! Don't let satan win. Knock his socks off and let him know that it's not how we fall, get knocked down, but how we get up and FIGHT for the right to believe and hope and have a better life.
I've got flack over mentioning God, but oh well, if people can talk their drama I can talk about God. I can imagine your thoughts maybe I'm wrong. But how could God let this happen? Well, how would we know GOOD if there is no evil. Why does satan do things like this to? to drive people away from God. God bless you and BE A BLESSING. thoughts and prayers are with you
First of all I agree with her statement, she is right, all you have to do is have faith in God and yourself and you will get through this...don't listen to what other have to say about it. Just because you where there does not make you a horrible person...you were a kid who made a mistake, you are not the first and you won't be the last. This is not anything that you can't overcome. Try to do something good with what you went through. Maybe you are still here for a reason.

Why did such a tragedy happen? I'll tell you. They were drinking. It sucks that they died, but they shouldn't have been drinking and driving. Say what you want, pity them all you want, but that's how it is.

Wow and yet again, some jerk off posts on this topic again even though its 4 years old!!! I wish I knew how to get this removed, I've reported it time and time again and nothing has been done. Have some respect for the family and friends of these girls. If they were your friend or family member would you want to see it brought up everytime you were to get on here?? Didn't think so. Remember them but move on, let people heal.

No. Consequences are consequences, and some consequences are EXTREMELY painful, especially when they are the DIRECT result of VERY poor decisions (i.e. the decision to drive while impaired). Ignoring these very simple facts in the misguided name of "healing" does not actually heal anything, and it does not serve as a means of learning for others who may find themselves faced with the same decision. BOTTOM LINE: IF you make bad decisions, THEN you may have to suffer the consequences (i.e. die and cause pain for your loved ones). It is what it is.

I only happened accross the memorial video a few minutes ago (by Skullgirls or something). I live nowhere near this town but just wanted to comment on the posts condemming the girls for their actions. Did no one ever teach you people "time and place"? There is a time and place for comments like yours, and the forum where people are grieving is NOT THE PLACE, right after the accident is "NOT THE TIME"! You fools are despicable trolls and I hope you have all grown up by now. I also know it is very belated but I wish all of the families, friends, companions of the girls well, and please accept my condolances.

I've kept up with this thread since day one and vividly remember the day this happened. I completely disagree with you that this should be left alone. This needs to be brought up time and time again as a reminder what can and will happen when we act so irresponsible. The kids that died were very irresponsible, and they paid the ultimate price for their actions. However, my biggest blame lays with the parents of these children. Sorry but the truth hurts. Parents... Teach your children that life is fragile, watch over them, protect them, and make them understand that life is not all fun and games. I hope the parents of these kids haven't forgotten and moved on. It's ultimately their fault this tragedy occurred.

There are better ways to preach about the evils of drinking and driving, especially among the young than to make families relive their horrific tragedy. Join the UCARE group, start a SADD or MADD chapter, encourage governmental bodies to expend more funds on enforcement of laws that prohibit sale or otherwise providing alcohol to minors, but let these people be, they've suffered well more than enough. And what family among us hasn't been touched in some way by drinking and driving related consequences?

The problem with these groups you mention is that the majority of members are those who have already lost a loved one. And more funds to prohibit underage sale of alcohol? Come on give me a break! I think it's a pretty fair assumption that these 4 children didn't go to 7-11 and buy the alcohol that ultimately lead to their death. I also think it's fair to assume that they were a product of their environment. Parents need to do more than provide a roof over their children's head... They need to lead by example. And before you say I know nothing of these parents in question... I DO! And if my words somehow make them relive that terrible day so be it! It's ultimately their fault

somehow I recently stumbled on the RIP videos on Youtube and then had to research this tragedy ,,, its crazy because it was so sad and hit home to me like it happened yesterday and even though I don't know them or the families I just wanted to pop in after 6yrs and mention to all the friends and families of these girls who might happen to come here that after 6yrs that prayers from a stranger will be sent up for them today,..

I hope after all this time the families and friends are doing okay, as far as kids drinking its normal anywhere you go in this country and nobody should be judge mental towards anyone and what they might choose as their right of passage .. I've deer hunted close to very close to where I think this happened in WV and wonder if there is a memorial at the spot where this happened but your all good folks down there and hope all is well. Prayers from Boston, Ma
