Hospitals just will not readmit the patients and thereby avoid the fines. The patient will be sent to another hospital to fix what the first did not and taxpayers get to pay for it all over again.
Obamacare is a complete joke, robbery of the American people and the fine by the IRS is the gun in the ribs.
Insurance companies can charge whatever they want and drop you or refuse coverage without any penalty on themselves if you cannot afford the premiums.
The promised Public option woudl at least have been competition for the insurance companies.
I am also waiting to have the same healthcare then Senator Obama had and promised to all American when he was running for office. No copays, deductables, immediate access to doctors, including specialists, and no premiums.
The only people worried about Obama's healthcare plan are those who will suddenly find themselves having to pay for insurance rather than letting eveyrone else pick up the tab.

Are you one of those people? Do you run to the hospital ER everytime you get a sniffle and then tell the finance dept you can't afford the bill? That cost gets tacked onto MY bill when I go to the hospital and pull out my insurance card.

Yes, EVERYONE should have to pay their own way. Isn't that what Republicans are all about? Responsiblity? Obamacare will NOT affect ANYONE who has insurance through their workplace or private insurance. It will only affect those who cannot or will not pay their own way.

THAT will help bring down MY healthcare costs.
Universal healthcare does exist in America, for politicians and illegal aliens who rely on American taxpayers to pay for their healthcare.

You're wrong....AGAIN.

Former Dem Sen. Evan Bayh is making the rounds stating that the ObamaCare tax on medical devices is going to do massive damage to the medical equipment industry by driving jobs overseas to avoid a tax on gross sales not a tax on profits.

He has a list of the companies involved.

Readmission is a tricky issue because readmission could simply be a cya approach to a simple at home alternative fix.

It is only because of medicare that many seniors become professional patients to service the health provider industry with reimbursement dollars.

For arguments sake only if you take medicare out of the equation will unnecessary procedures cease and alternative cheaper treamentS take place in geriatric medicine.

GERIATRIC MEDICINE-the colossal failure of the US health care industry.
