you have put out absolutely no valid reasons why SSM should not be legal outside of the fact that you hate homosexuals and are prejudiced against them...
Not with me you haven't..because it's not there...

I have many 'valid' reasons why marriage should remain as is..you just don't like them...

Actually, engineering (like science) is basically math based...and in math...true/false is the foundation of every principle....so, as usual, you are incorrect...but the rest of us already knew that...
mathematics is one part of engineering.

again, you have a very limited, and wrong view of the real world.

Not related to the question or the point...as usual...
sure it is...

homosexuals have absolutely no problem mating.

they also have no problem fulfilling all of the legal functions of a marriage.

Are you just trolling for effect??? Because it's not to spread truth....

If you have ever taught math, you rarely escape a handful (or more) of students who wonder why they need 'this stuff'. Well, personally I've always believed that math is an opportunity gateway. However, the math you need will depend very much upon your goals. For instance,

-------Calculus is needed for all forms of engineering, finance and many of the science focused careers.---------

Do well in Calculus and your job market certainly opens up.

--------Algebra and geometry are great problem solving topics and are also stepping stones to Calculus.---------

-Geometry is applied in numerous careers both in the trades and at college levels. Statistics and probability are the maths for business, economics and research. The more math you know, the more options you have.

In your ignorance, you are not realizing that a large part of engineering is the creativity.

engineers use math to make sure their DECISIONS of how to proceed will work.

epic fail on your part...again...

nope, it also means pairing, sexual pairing, union, copulation,

all things same sex couples can do.

are you ever correct about anything?

no, in fact every one of the reasons you have ever h=given has been shown to be not valid. not based in fact at all.

it is only because of your prejudice that you do not want SSM.

'Creativity'?? Creativity is nothing without the true/false math-based science of it...

True/false = simple = truth
creativity = complicated = lies

Creativity isn't the foundation of engineering/science...
engineers use math to make sure their DECISIONS of how to proceed will work.

You put the cart before the horse...engineers use the math to design with creativity...otherwise...it would all be fantasy...like our responses....

yes in fact it is the foundation of engineering. the math backs up the options.

They keep having to redefine words to support their denial.

It gets hilarious sometimes, stupid other times and often just plain offensive.

ssm supporters can no longer dismiss the slippery slope claims...

The Washington Times reports:

[Polygamy is] getting a legal boost from a strange bedfellow: the success of same-sex marriage.

Gay-rights advocates cringe whenever the connection is made between same-sex and plural marriage, but more than a few legal analysts say the recent gains posted by gay marriage in the courts and state legislatures cannot help but bolster the case for legalized polygamy.

... "Unlike same-sex marriage, which has no historical roots and is a new frontier — you can't say the same thing about polygamy," said Austin Nimocks, attorney for the conservative Alliance Defense Fund, which opposes same-sex marriage. "There's a cultural underpinning and support for plural marriage, so one could say the case is actually stronger for plural marriage."

... If U.S. courts do eventually legalize plural marriage, there's an excellent chance that the attorney for the plaintiffs will be Brian Barnard. A Utah-based religious-freedom lawyer, Mr. Barnard has been challenging anti-polygamy laws for decades.

"We haven't been successful, but we think the times are a-coming," said Mr. Barnard, who serves as legal director for the Utah Civil Rights and Liberties Foundation.

State will never be required to provide legal recognition to plural marriages in any form, what is likely to happen though, is the states losing the power to punish otherwise legal consensual non-monogamous relationships. The form of polygamy that the Browns are engaged in is actually legal in more places than where it isn't. As long as you aren't seeking any sort of legal recognition for the relationship as a marriage, you can have as many "spiritual wives" as your little heart desires, the prohibition against polygamy in most states is limited to the legal definition of bigamy, not your sex life.

I don't know that we will never be required to provide legal recognition to polygamy...10 years ago, people said the same thing about ssm...the American people are a gullible group...they will fall for anything if it sounds good enough to them....and if we start redefining marriage for one group, how could we ever expect that that will be the end????

Even liberals can't deny the obvious....

NPR Casually Discusses How Gay Marriage May Lead to 'Grander Trend' of Legalized Polygamy
By Tim Graham | March 29, 2013 | 23:24

They made fun of Rick Santorum and other social conservatives when they suggested gay marriage would easily lead to legalizing polygamy. But now liberals see that “grander trend” on the horizon.

The state's role is as regulator, it cannot regulate that which it cannot define. Any limit beyond one spouse per person at one time, arbitrary and pretty indefensible and not going to be made under the law.

You talk of folk being gullible, you do know what that really means, don't you?

It's not indefensible, at least polygamy civil rights lawyers don't think so...it may seem indefensible to you though..

Yes, Americans are very gullible...look at how they bought all the lies behind legalizing ssm....
