When are people going to figure out that you just can't do this anymore! Maybe decades ago no one thought twice about leaving your kids in the car, but now you end up with a mugshot if you do it. Is it really so hard to just take them in?! If you can't control them for the twenty minutes it takes to shop, that's your fault and you should find someone to watch them while you go alone.

so many people seem to forget what a true blessing it is to have a child! who in their right mind would leave them in a car where heaven only knows what could happen to them!

Im glad to hear that she went to jail. It amazes me that she left those children in the care of a 5 year old. I wouldn't leave my 10 year old in charge let alone a 5 year old. That's ridiculous. Children don't need to be watching children. I know how inconvenient it is to drag all the kids in and out of a store but thats part of life. If you had them, you have to take care of them.. People absolutely amaze me. Its pitiful to think that those kids were sitting in a car during a storm and freezing to death. Its cold and wet and those kids must have been scared to death.

Give me a break...how did we get to the place that government runs our lives? If the children are not in danger what is the big deal? We have all been left in a car, house for a few minutes, or have left our children for a short time...America is suppose to be the land of the free...what is freedom?

Yes it is, but I am across the street from that Walmart. It is freezing outside and storming like crazy. That is no place to leave a 5 year old, 3 year old and an infant. What's to say the 3 or 5 year old wont jump out of the car and run into the parking lot and get hit by a car because they get scared when their mom is gone too long, A child molester could walk by and find easy prey right there unattended and haul off with all 3 of them. While I don't agree with either, pulling up to a gas station and running in where you can still see them, is one thing, Super wal-mart with 500 cars in the lot is another. There are so many reasone why it is not ok to leave your children in a car. Too many things could happen and I cant imagine defending someone who would put their children in danger like that.

That would be my biggest fear with doing it, too - the child getting out of the car. Yes, I have left a sleeping 6 month old in the car in front of the country post office while running in to drop off a package before or grab mail from my po box. I see no problem with doing that as she was no further than 20 feet away and in sight the entire time (and the car was not left running and doors were locked). I've also run into the gas station to buy a soda (but if I am going into the bathroom where she's not in sight, then she goes with me). But, to leave them unattended for a great length of time does increase the chances that one will come looking for you. Weather conditions aside, that's where the biggest danger comes in - them getting out of the vehicle and roaming unattended in the parking lot.

take the kids away and see if the father can be found and let him at least pay child support to who ever will rear the kids. The mama probably doesn't have the foggiest idea who he is!!! She no doubt needs an LTL!!!! Grandma probably will be the one to pitch in; they normally are.......... like OBAMA! GOD BLESS GRANNIES!!!

Stephanie, shame on you!!! You don't need children if you can't do any better than that! Where's dad? Unknown? Hhhhmmm!

Um, hello, what are you thinking? They could have been in dange. A pedophile could have been waiting in the parking lot to snatch a kid and saw them alone in a car, and think, hey three for one and then they are gone. Are you really so naive to think there is no danger in leaving kids in the car alone? Freedom is freedom, this is not about freedom. This is about the safety of kids in the sick and twisted world we live in. She deserved to be arrested.

I 100% agree w/"Looking4Proof"- She DID and DOES deserve to spend time in jail and those kids need to be cared for by someone that is a Responsible/Caring Individual..

When are these people going to get a clue?

Do they NEVER watch the news? I guess they just go through life uninformed and ignorant.

Well. just keep nailing them to the wall. Maybe their friends will learn thru osmosis or something. At least those who do review and learn from daily events will be continously reinforced not to leave small kids in the car.

Oh, And only a complete retard would not see the problem with leaving kids in the car. Hopefully they never breed.
