Dianna Nava won't be winning any mother of the year awards anytime soon, especially after having been arrested for leaving her three kids home alone in Jonesboro, Ark.

Has anyone heard her side or heard from her children ?
I have heard different stories and heard she was with her 2 year old child. News didn't report her car broke down and that she fell and ended up in the hospital .

So are you saying she didn't leave for Oklahoma? Because I'm thinking if she left her kids in a house with no water or power even for one night she's trash.

That's true, but I can promise you that I would never make a decision that left my kids in that situation.

The truth of it is she has probably made a series of bad decisions that led to her being in the position to make this one

That's true, but I hope this last decision leads to her not having custody of her children

Would rather she tied them to a tree with the dogs.

I would rather she acted like a mother and took care of her children's needs.

This lady is charged with leaving her kids alone with no power or running water. Are there really people trying to defend her?

She left her 17-year-old daughter in charge. When I was 18 I was carrying an M14 rifle and barely 19 when I was using it. All young people are not cut from the same cloth.

It is so sad what kids have to endure these days. So many parents are so selfish and the children suffer.

No electricity & water is like camping. For those remotely even trying to defend her, you go outside & camp out for a week & see how you feel. These kids had cesspool toilets, no proper bathing, spent majority of their time in the dark & no doubt in a cold environment. I'm certain peanutbutter sandwiches were their breakfast, lunch & dinner. I'm also certain she left ample cash for their needs being as she couldn't pay her fu#9ing light bill but had gas money for a road trip. The boo hoo crap about her being in the hospital where there obviously weren't any telephones to call anyone is a real weak defense. There is no excuse. These kids have probably suffered greater adventures with this so called mother before, that's why it lasted as long as it did. They think this is normal. Sad.

Exactly!! If I were gone overnight my teenage daughter would be calling the police. It would never seem normal to her for me to be gone that long.

Is the legal age 13 in AR to be home without adult supervision? The 17 yr old girl was in charge of the other 2 children. Will that be legal under her supervision? The Mother should have stayed home or took her kids with her. They would have missed a week of school, but they would have been safer and not be living without electricity or running water. Wonder if the Mom had any relatives who could have helped her and the kids out?
