Did Obama win the Heismann too? I understand that Obama watched a college football game on TV and won the Heismann Trophy.

To Mary Eddy, the lovable goofball:

You've been watching the Glenn Beck show again, haven't you?
Glenn Beck just made that stuff up. He pulled it out of his behind just like everything else he "Reports" on.

Anita Dunn never said one of her political heroes in Mao. That was a lie.

This illustrates how bereft of real issues the Republicans have become to rely on Glenn Beck to feed this tripe to the likes of ignorant people like Mary Eddy to repete it as if there was some speck of truth to it's claim.

The Fox "news" cable channel should be renamed the "Republican Guard" channel.

There were two references to Anita Dunn in the Post this week. Mary Eddy said in the 49er, "Anita Dunn, White House Communication Director, last week said that the Fox News Channel is the research and communication arm of the Republican Party. Anita also said that during the campaign, they controlled the media. What does that say about ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC and PBS? She also said that one of her political heroes is Mao."

Then Rick Silva said this in his weekly column:

White House communications director Anita Dunn says Fox is "opinion journalism masquerading as news." Now if this is all so clear, how is it that real news organizations like CNN, NBC and the rest have been led anywhere by Fox News?
Dunn and her buddies at the White House just don't like the fact there is at least one news organization that doesn't bow at the Administration's knee, but they actually check into claims.

The thing that puzzles me is howthehell would an organization bow at a knee? Or, for that matter, how would a human contortionist bow at a knee?

Obviously Jim Qualls made that up (about Pres. Obama winning the Heismann Trophy). I wonder how much other stuff he conjured up in his warped mind for the benefit of 49er Speakeasy readers. 99.9%? Or higher?

Dode moves to the right. Aww! How we on the left will miss her; NOT!! By the way, Dode; who said ANY mainstream TV network can call themselves a real news organization anymore? Fox "NEWS" just puts on the best circus act. You betcha.

Jay, have you been taking obnoxious pills again? "The ONLY part of my post containing my comment was: "The thing that puzzles me is howthehell would an organization bow at a knee? Or, for that matter, how would a human contortionist bow at a knee?"

All the rest were quotes from Mary Eddy and Rick Silva. But in your haste to nail me for something or anything, you blast me for moving to the right. Is questioning how one bows at a knee a sign of moving to the right in your terms?

Gad, what a bore you are. Just about as bad as O'Neill.

Brad,
I watched the YouTube tape. There is obviously missing audio in the tape. IT WAS ALTERED YOU FOOL! Words taken out of context and spliced with other phrases.

Is that the best you got? You disapoint me. I go back to my original statement. It is evident that the Republicans have nothing to say. This only proves my point. A lame attept to make false claims in hopes of dupeing the American people into beliving Republican lies.

Ain't gonna happen Brad. If you rely on the likes of Glenn Beck to set your agenda, your going to be lost in the wilderness for quite a long time.

What a Rube.

I've got a bridge in Brooklyn that you may be interested in buying.

Jim Qualls is just jealous that his hero, G.W. Bush's (Boy George) only award, to date, is first place in the Alfred E. Newman look alike competition.

Steve Vanderknownothing puts his ignorance up for all to see as he alleges in the first post on this thread,“Anita Dunn never said one of her political heroes in Mao. That was a lie.”

http://www.mixx.com/videos/8620756/youtube_gl...

I then post this “gotcha” video and ask him to watch 45 seconds of it IN WHICH SHE clearly says,“actually come from two of my favorite political philosophers, Mao Tse Tung and…” to which the lying idiot now claims “There is obviously missing audio in the tape. IT WAS ALTERED YOU FOOL! Words taken out of context and spliced with other phrases.”

Steve keep it up. As you call folks like me liars while at the same time fail to believe your own lying eyes….you prove yourself a fool as well as an idiot. You represent your side as I knew you would Steve…completely dishonestly.

I repeat, GOTCHA!!!

She may have admired his philosophical writings, quotes etc. She did not champion his actions. There IS a difference. Beck makes an unjustified quantum leap in equating the two. There is no context between the two.

Glen Beck said in the video, "you know who my favorite political philospher is? Adolf Hitler." as he held up a copy of Mein Kamph.
Context does make a difference.

Its funny but if you read the section of the book where he talks about the role of the media, its easy to recognize Fox's game plan spelled out, by Hitler.
It's as if Hitler wrote Fox's Mission Statement in his book.

Fox distorts. Fox lies. Fox is a political campaign masquerading as news.

Brad,

I never called you a liar, only a fool.

But then a fool wouldn't know the difference.

The tape was obviously altered. And hey, that bridge is still for sale.

Darn it, Brad, I wish you would make your case in your own words instead of just constantly referring us to youtube. I never read youtube and I'm not interested what those people say. But I am interested in your views, even if you have been influenced by youtube. Please say it yourself.

Mao's actions(up to 70 million dead) were a result of his philosophy.

The Youtube I posted was the very recording of Anita Dunn saying exactly what Steve Vanderknownothing said she didn’t say. It’s alarming to me that we have a president who has associated and brought with him to office such radical people Dode.

I felt that the un-doctored video would cause a few of those brain neutrons hiding deeply in the crevices of Steve’s cranium to become active just long enough for him to go,“Oh, oh my!!” But I was wishful thinking.

It's sort of like arguing with a fence post, only it may actually have a little more going for it upstairs than ol' Steve here. He never ceases to amaze me, especially when he calls others dumb.

Well, I looked up Anita Dunn myself and this is what I found:
White House Communications Director Anita Dunn set the political world on fire with her comment on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” Oct. 11 that Fox News was “a wing of the Republican Party,” adding “let’s not pretend they’re a news organization like CNN is.”

Fox commentator Glenn Beck mounted a counterattack, going after Ms. Dunn for a statement she made in a speech to a private school in suburban Maryland, quoting Mao Zedong and calling him one of her “favorite political philosophers.”

Mr. Beck’s response:“It’s insanity. This is her hero’s work. She thinks of this man’s work all the time? It would be like me saying to you,‘You know who my favorite political philosopher is? Adolf Hitler.”

Dunn countered that her line about Mao “was intended as irony,” and that she got the Mao quote from the late Republican strategist Lee Atwater. A certain Fox commentator’s “sense of irony may be missing,” she quipped.

For Gawd's sake, Brad, is this what you got your shorts in a snarl about? Is your light cord so firmly attached to Glenn Beck's dim bulb that you're ready to run and hide under your bed when he says "boo" or starts crying? Everybody knows he is a nut case and you shouldn't be hiding behind Glenn Beck to justify your hatred of President Obama.

Have you lost it?

What is it about people who support the conservative cause that shuts them up when reality cracks open their shell of ignorance?

Guess Limbaugh got his comeuppance. Thought it was hilarious about what happened on his show. It's about time he got caught in his own web. Maybe people will finally begin to see the light.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Aries

There are mixed messages flying around in the ether today, so be wary about drawing any concrete conclusions from what happens now. Even though you don't realize it, you may be misreading the signs that someone is sending out, which will lead to complications later on. Be especially careful about indulging in romantic daydreams and then believing them.
