Free lunch program on Buffalo's east side

So what if these mothers are lazy scumbags...it's NOT the kids fault! If these kids are brought into this world by a mother who can't afford to take care of them...it's still NOT their fault! So while these kids probably don't have much of anything else "handed to them" they do deserve to eat!!

I am appalled at all the comments posted ,I had no idea the extent of hatred for African/Americans in this city. Any news good /bad in this community is ripped to shreds with Racist comments.If you check the statistics you will find the majority of Welfare and food stamps cases are white,I work at the Dept. of Social Services.GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!

Do not quote ABSOLUTE numbers. Quote percentages. Quote the percentage of the black population on welfare vs the percentage of white people on welfare. While you are at it, look up the percentage of people who commit crime and have b@st@rd children.

Let me say this..Mr. Jackson is a very wonderful caring man. For many many years he was director the Friends of the Night organization that helped the homeless in WNY. He did it this on VOLUNTARY basis and was absolutly wonderful.

I dont see anyone else doing anything to help these messed up kids in the City of Buffalo....I mean ALL OF BUFFALO not just the East Side. My neighborhood is getting just as bad as the East Side. And I drive down Seneca...not so pretty anymore there either. The city as whole is falling apart.

Why is when someone does something to try to help they get criticized for it?

How come you all aint complaining about the free lunch program that is everywhere in the city? Dont most of the parks or schools have the program? Is it ok there cause them kids are white? You only want little black kids to go hungry? I have been to a few parks around buffalo and i seen as many scummy nasty neighborhoods up there with the one mentioned in teh article. you all are pigs.

What the big deal is that the middle class is overtaxed and is carrying these people. Do you think it is right for me to work and have my money taken away to support people that bring children into the world they can't support? I too grew up poor and my Mother worked 2 jobs, full and part time to feed us, and keep clothes on our back.
